Thanks for the reference, I wasn't aware of "topography guided ablation".

I've already learned that most doctors are medical mechanics. Competent enough
to follow standard procedures for standard problems, but not up to much
original problem solving. Don't get me wrong, this isn't necessarily bad. The
truly gifted researcher would probably go bats after the 100th Common Cold or
Strep throat. You don't need Rembrandt to paint your house, but when you need a
custom portrait, not just any painter will do.

It looks like I'll still be waiting a while, particularly here in the U.S..

It's funny, "common knowledge" is that the U.S. has the best medicine and
technology in the world. I think that was actually true in years past, but more
and more I'm seeing new technical developments appear in other countries years
ahead of their availability in the U.S.
