WELCOME TO THE ALT.LASIK-EYES NEWSGROUP (Dec 18)

This notice is posted weekly (mostly!).
WELCOME TO THE ALT.LASIK-EYES NEWSGROUP
The primary purpose of this newsgroup is to discuss issues related to
Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK), however all refractive surgery
techniques such as Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK), Laser Assisted
sub-Epithelium Keratomileusis (LASEK), Conductive Keratoplasty (CK),
Phakic Intraocular Lenses (P-IOL), Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), and
others are commonly discussed.
Readers are advised that opinions expressed here may come from eye
care professionals (optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians,
ophthalmic researchers) as well as the general public. Alt.lasik-eyes
is an unmoderated newsgroup. Any person may say what he or she
desires without significant probability of consequence, however
courtesy is encouraged.
From time to time any newsgroup will experience posters who espouse
certain viewpoints that are misleading, hoaxes, mythology, disproved
theories, and/or outright lies. If someone is desperately trying to
convince you of something or uses demeaning or abusive language, you
might be correct in assuming that person has an agenda that has little
or no relation to your individual circumstances, and that person's
views are not consistent with current science. If it sounds too good
(or too bad) to be true, it probably is.
Because alt.lasik-eyes is an unmoderated newsgroup, it is possible for
a single person to create multiple identities and post many messages
under different names. Multiple identity posting may create the
appearances of a consensus of opinion that does not truly exist.
Please refrain from replying to posters in an effort to denounce,
ridicule, embarrass or otherwise engage in non-productive discussion.
That's called "feeding the trolls" and is usually without positive
value. If you are bothered by the tone or content of a thread, don't
read it or learn how to eliminate all postings by the author. This is
called kill-filing or filtering. For more information on how to set
up filters, please see the documentation for your newsgroup reader or
go to:
http://www.hyphenologist.co.uk/killfile/killfilefaq.htm
When gathering information, be aware of the source and use good
judgment. Participants who provide their true identities offer the
opportunity to research their background in consideration of the
validity of their views. In all situations, do not make vital
healthcare decisions without being personally examined by a
knowledgeable practitioner.
Thank you for participating. Special thanks to "The Real Bev" for her
inspiration.

Hanson knows it. The subject line is an outright lie.'
In fact, the subject line is accurate and the document has been
verified.
>CRSQA surgeons may be hazardous

Hagele states that 'This "information" is grossly distorted and ignores
mitigating facts.'
In fact, the information is completely accurate and has been verified.
>CRSQA is a "questionable" organization

Hagele states that 'This information is inaccurate or opinion. This
website is published
by a malpractice attorney who was investigated by the bar association
for copyright infringement.'
In fact, the owner of LasikInfocenter.net is NOT a malpractice
attorney, and has NOT been investigated by the bar association for
copyright infringement.
>100% of polled users answer YES to "Is Glenn Hagele a deadbeat?"

Hagele states that 'The only information provided at this "poll" are
the lies about a
collection agency referenced above. The total number of votes is 6,
undoubtedly padded by the owner of the website: Brent Hanson."
In fact, I do NOT operate this web site, and Hagele has not one shred
of evidence suggesting otherwise.
Hagele signs his signature as "Executive Director, USAEyes.org"
In fact Hagele is the sole employee of this bogus certification mill,
and works out of his own house.

So why don't you post the judgement?

| I only post under my own name and identify all posts that I create.
The question stands, Hanson. Why don't you post the judgment?
The reason, of course, is that the judgment is a dismissal of the
accusation.
The "information" provided in the letter is inaccurate and Hanson
knows it is inaccurate, yet he publishes the letter as if it has
validity. One can only assume the reason is to defame my reputation
and the reputation of the organization I represent.

I search of my address on google groups show a moderate posting history:
http://groups.google.com/groups?as_...y=2005&safe=off
The first post by me in alt.lasik-eyes was about a year ago when I was
about to get LASIK.
Pretty prescient of him to create an alias almost 4 years before he needs
in and never use it in all that time....

| Hey that's pretty funny!
Thanks for giving yourself some more bad publicity!
