| Yes, it is a pity there is not a CRSQA Certified Refractive Surgeon in
everyone's back yard, but there are only a select few who have gained
and continue to maintain our certification.
For patients in these states or anywhere that there is not a CRSQA
Certified Refractive Surgeon we recommend using our 50 Tough Questions
For Your Doctor (http://www.usaeyes.org/faq/tough_questions.htm) to
evaluate a potential surgeon.

| Perhaps surgeons in most states are smart enough not to pay big bucks
to be 'certified' by a non-doctor.

| One person's opinion, but we are much more interested in quality than
quantity, however it would be beneficial to patients if an
independently evaluated surgeon was nearby. As it is, much of the
country must rely on our 50 Tough Questions For Your Doctor or are
left to their own devices.
