| Thanks very much for your info. I haven't think of the consequences of
failure so deeply.
Checking the sucess rate of my case,
% 20/20 or better: 95%
http://www.pcli.com/lasik/success_rates.html
Not very low but have quite a risk indeed...

problems were not good candidates to begin with/jumped the gun having
it done. It does not make their problems less tragic but something to
keep in mind. They have to reach out on the web because they can't
compete with the word of mouth of satisfied patients.
My husband just had lasik on October 27th and couldn't be happier.
Good Luck

Good on whatever you decide!

the first time in 30 years he is living life without glasses!!
Good luck on whatever you decide!

| Minarik, you are more out of your mind than even I thought.
You have got to be kidding us with that ridiculous slideshow by Roger
Davis.
By the way.. Roger Davis has a Phd in law - which is why Roger puts
together these multimedia smoke screens. I would be shocked if any
court decision ever was made based upon Roger's nonsense.

| You are pushing it now Sandy. Those two lunatic sites that you
maintain for Ron are nothing but a source for propagating
misinformation.
I pity your husband retiring at 47. I guarantee that within 3 months
he is going to wish he was back at work.

I started those websites myself and maintained them myself until a few
months ago. I have had an extremely busy year. Between moving,
renovating a the rental we lived in for a year, my business, my kids,
and a desire to start having some fun, I decided that it was time to
either shut my sites down, or let someone else take them over. The
latter was the course of action I took.

He was miserable at work. When Northrop Grumman took over TRW, the
company completely changed and they are losing employees left and
right. He is very happy now. In fact, he looked at me the other day
with tears in his eyes and told me, "Now I have everything I have
always wanted". Most of what he wanted was me back from LASIKland.
I am determined to guard my time and only post here on occasion, and
the only reason I am writing this tonight is that you dragged Ron
Link's name into your post full of misinformation. I haven't heard
from Ron in almost two years, and you are very wrong in what you say.
I built http://www.lasikdisaster.com to tell the story of what happened
to me when I had lasik, and to document what I learned about it AFTER I
had surgery. http://www.lasikmemorial.com was also my idea, to pay
tribute to those who are suffering after having lasik--- to publish
stories of patients who weren't interested in building their own
websites.
Got it?

***Reality... both those websites were created years ago by the
girlfriend of the nut who created SE - Paula Cofer. This was pointed
out by the mischeivous Mr. Hanson months ago. When that was revealed,
the websites were made anonymous.

***Realist:So he got laid off. And most of what he wanted was you
back from LASIKland? Sounds to me like you are still in LASIKland by
posting here. Why don't you try asking him if he would like you to
stop your obsession with posting on LASIK sites and taking expensive
LASIK trips to try and stir things up, etc.?

the lasikdisaster site, it was created by Paula Cofer.

| You are so wrong. I originated both domains. Why would Paula buy a
domain and build a website around my personal story, complete with my
picture???? The design of both sites was done by another patient with
bad lasik results though--I cannot take credit for that.
My husband really wanted to be laid off because they would have had to
give him severance pay or possibly a golden handshake. We have to
wait several years now before his retirement pay begins.
I haven't taken any "expensive lasik trips". I get free airfare and
never had to get a hotel room--there are plenty of damaged lasik
patients willing to offer a guest room when needed, just about anywhere
in the U.S.
Now, things should be crystal clear, but I have a feeling that you will
still exhibit your reading comprehension problems and try to twist it
all around again. Correcting you is such a waste of time, and as sole
provider now, I'd better get to work.

Several of the people in this newsgroup saw that both of your domains
were created by Paula Cofer of Florida and the date of creation was
included. Right after that was revealed, The sites were made
"anonymous"

That sucks that he has to wait several years for his retirement pay. I
doubt he would be too thrilled that you are telling people that he got
laid off though.

If you got free airfare, it was from the piggybank of Surgical Eyes.

Wrong. I registered both domains. I registered www.lasikdisaster.com
in the year 2000.

Wrong. He quit. I said "My husband really wanted to be laid off...".He
waited several months to see if a rumored layoff would materialize, but
it didn't happen, so he quit. His supervisor gave his own notice the
very same day.
It sucked more to have him working at a place that doesn't care about
their employees and keeps reducing their benefits. So many of the
former TRW employees are leaving, or want to leave, that morale is VERY
low at Northrop Grumman these days. Come to think of it, you would fit
right in.
> If you got free airfare, it was from the piggybank of Surgical Eyes.
Wrong. I earn at least one to two airline tickets per month by paying
my vendors with my credit cards.
You come up with the most ridiculous accusations. I'm not going to
continue this with you. Your posts are almost always inaccurate, no
matter what you are writing about.
Haven't your unemployment benefits run out yet? Northrop is hiring.

That is an outright lie. it was registered to Paula Cofer, the
girlfriend of the kook that created SE. That is why your domain is
now listed as anonymous, so nobody can see that anymore. All the
regulars here know what I'm talking about.

There you go changing your stories again. Typically when one quits
their job, they have another job lined up. Not so in his case
apparently. Without suggesting that he get his lazy 47 year old XXX
back to work, he is going to get bored senseless being out of work at
that age. I'm sure you remind him every day who wears the pants now.
