I had the surgery Monday and I am soooooooo happy I didn't try to drive.
The proceedure was a snap. I was a little surprised that it took 50
seconds for the laser to cut each flap, but I wouldn't have done it any
other way. The thought of a blade cutting my eye is too much for me to
take.

The day after my near vision was blurred but distance vision was great,
with moderate halo around bright lights. I had the sensation similar to
having an eyelash in each eye but otherwise no pain or discomfort. I
returned to the eye center (UCSD Medical) for a checkup and was able to
read the 20/20 line! Could that get better as my eyes heal?

Today is day two and near vision is almost perfect. The biggest
inconvenience is the cloudy eyedrop "goobers." Not too shabby!
