| Well, 5 days after surgery, I had my follow-up visit. I can read the
20/15 line, but not the 20/10 line. A little more inflamation in my left
eye than my right, which may be causing my sensation of 'something weird
in my peripheral vision'. However it is within what my doctor expects as
nomral. I can't SEE any distortion in my vision, but I do have a
sensation similar to the start of a migraine if I think about it. If I'm
not thinking about it, I don't notice it at all.
I've finished the course of antibiotic and anitinflamitory drops. I'm
still taking the artificial tears a minimum of 4 times a day for a month.
I was using Alcon brand, but they were making my vision blurry for a few
minutes after putting them in. My doctor gave me samples of the Bausch &
Lomb Moisture Eyes drops, which don't give me the blurry vision. So I'll
be switching over when the enconomy size sample box they gave me runs out.
And as of yesterday, I've noticed that my eyes feel normal again. I don't
know if this is just due to the healing, or if I've gotten used to seeing
straight instead of curved lines.
I need to wear the eye shield at least another 2 nights to sleep in, but
they recommend another week past that if I can, so I probably will. They
do interrupt my sleep a bit, but not to any great extent.
Haloing around lights at night is about the same or less than I was
getting with my glasses prior to the surgery.
So, as of now, I am VERY happy with my eyes.

Well, you're still way ahead of most. Congrats with your outcome. It sounds
like you are just getting used to your new vision.

Will do. I figured it would be good for the NG to get a 'unscripted, and
unknown' pre- and post-operative experience for Lasik.

Thanks. Yep, getting used to and enjoying.

| Yes, Todd. It is so good to hear that your recovery is actually going
according to plan (actually better than). Please keep us informed.

| Glad to hear of your great results so far Todd. The 20/15 is great but may
even improve to 20/10 yet. One of my eyes improved after 2 -3 weeks. Either
way you still have a great result. Glad you haven't any noticeable halo's
too.
All the best and keep us informed. Its real nice hearing some positive
things in this NG for a change. The doom and gloom gets depressing after a
while.
Regards
Wal

| Here's yet another example of Dr. Gemoules playing both sides of the

Oh, yes, I forgot that in Ragnar's world 20/15 might actually be worse
than 20/20.
