Author Lies of Gemoules - coming very soon to a newsgroup near you.

I already went to the trouble of digging up Gemoules past comments. I
would not have done this and don't like doing it because he makes more
than a fool of himself on a daily basis. We don't need to be
re-hashing the past. However.. once again.. he is begging for proof
of these past comments. Once again - as Jack Smith (and later Rich
Little) said - "You Asked For It".
I suppose after I post the links that he begged for, he will be crying
about libel again.
"You say libel, I say malpractice, you say doctor, I say quack..
potato, potatoe... tomato, tomatoe.. let's call the whole thing off.."
(after tonights slam dunk that is)

Ah ha! I didn't understand why the sponsored links were all related to
popcorn til I scrolled to the bottom and saw that. Nice change from
greedy LASIK surgeons trolling for business.

Not that it hasn't happened.. but I don't recall any LASIK surgeon
ever posting a message in this newsgroup. You can hardly call that
trolling.
Trolling is more like a website about refractive surgery, where 95% of
their doctors are not surgeons.

William Trattler, MD, a refractive surgeon, once posted in this
newsgroup. He posted his rate of ectasia in his first 3,000 LASIK
patients being two (2 in 3000 or 3/50ths of one percent). That didn't
set too well with all the
ohmygodectasiaisgoingtodestroyeverylasikpatient crowd that frequents
this newsgroup.

Although Dr. Trattler will do LASIK when indicated, his surgery of
choice is surface ablation such as PRK or LASEK.

In fact, I had observed Dr. Trattler posting several times here once
upon a time.

When I first started posting on Surgical Eyes, there were a number of
refractive surgeons posting....under aliases, of course.

That was a very long time ago. I'd like to see some refractive surgeons
posting here. They would need thick skin though. When they posted on
SE, they were very helpful, but stopped posting when the loonie fringe
shouted them down.

I can certainly understand why surgeons would not post here. Look at
the outlandish things said against me. No one should be subjected to
such treatment. When a doctor makes a legitimate statement based upon
actual facts, if it does not meet with the agenda of the more extreme
folks around here the doctor, the fact, and the entire world is called
into question. Doctors once lauded are suddenly vilified because they
dare to not agree with a local loony's opinion on something.

I know a few doctors who have visited here and lurked for a short
while. They told me that they would not waste their time with such
nonsense. They would rather help the patients who walk in their door,
than to subject themselves to things such as the subject line in this
thread..

At least lasik surgeons admit they are lasik surgeons and don't call
themselves cardiologists. Hagele could label himself and his
organization as what he/it really is and then maybe he/it wouldn't be
called into question.

The only reason I am here is because I wanted a place to "hangout"
after leaving SE, and before deciding what I really wanted to do when I
grew up, i.e. expand my website, etc. I never really intend stay this
long.

Before leaving, I just want to say that I have long thought that Glenn
has put up with far more crap here than he has ever deserved. And, for
that matter, so have I. Time to move on to greener pastures.

Sandy's right about this. I have yet to see a refractive surgeon do any
open heart surgeries or even use a stethascope.

As I recall, Trattler is one of those SE nuts.
Also, the making of a flap requires great skill and good judgement.
Let's just say that I think Trattler should stick to doing PRK and
LASEK too.

I will miss you. You have been a wealth of information over the couple
of years I have been reading this NG. Please do not let Ragnar dissuade
you from posting here. I agree with your comments about Glenn. No
matter what his agenda, he conducts himself in a civil manner and so do
you. Please reconsider your position. You are one of the very few
people here who actually know what they are talking about and does not
resort to childish gibberish to get your point across.
Regards,
Linda.

There is no point in taking the battle any further, however, you might
just want to review some posts, especially recent ones, and see who is
being childish.
I think that is enough said about that.

Geeese Rags give it a bloody break will ya. We are all sick to death of your
childish crap. I think if anyone should leave it should be you. We don't
need any more of this carry on here. We try to be nice and rational to you
but you just don't stop. Nobody is interested in your problems with DrG. Why
do you continuously keep bringing it up. If you have a problem with him
then can you do us a favour - sort it out in one thread then ignor him.
Don't just keep repeating yourself over and bloody over for ever. No one
else is interested OK. We are here to talk about Lasik and not listen to you
and DrG go on.

I think you need to read the posts of the last 2 weeks more carefully.
I have repeatedly been saying that these topics have been beaten to
death and need to end. The doctor you mentioned has blatantly
demanded that I re-hash old messages twice last week. It's not easy
to end a thread when the other party is demanding that it is rehashed.
I intend on ending it.
I know it won't end, he has already posted 25 hours after his
supposedly "last" post. We shall see. I predict he will post again
by Tuesday.

Meanwhile you have Link trying to play Perry Mason here. What that
has to do with LASIK is beyond me. If he wants to sue somebody, he
should do it and stop fantasizing about it in this newsgroup. He's
even been at odds with Glenn, Minarik, Gemoules, and Hanson. His list
of supporters is just about zero.

Anyway.. enough of those topics...

You are exactly right about that.. that is why I plan on ceasing
