Following is a recent press release regarding wavefront customized
contact lenses. Now this I've got to see.

~~~~~~~~~~
OPTICAL CONNECTION OPENS WAVETOUCH MANUFACTURING FACILITY FOR
CUSTOMIZED SOFT CONTACT LENSES.
Optical Connection, Inc., has opened of a new facility in San Diego,
which will be the home for the manufacturing operations of its
WaveTouchProcess used to manufacture its new iZon by Definition FRP
soft contact lenses.
The lenses have been developed using in-office aberrometry readings
virtually linking the Wavefront date with the company’s high-speed
contact lens manufacturing system. The iZon by Definition FRP lenses
allow patients to receive highly individualized contact lens
prescriptions based on their individual visual needs.
Optical Connection Inc. is the developer of patented
aberration-control disposable contact lenses products for eyecare
professionals, including Definition A.C., Definition A.C. Toric and
Definition A.C. Multifocal, in addition to exclusive branding
programs. For more information, go to http://opticonnection.com.
I've seen two other similar websites promising this type of lens.
They don't seem to ever get off the drawing board though.
Custom contacts based upon topography is one thing, custom contacts
for wavefront aberrations is another world and probably unrealistic.
