Before Surgery:

50 year old male, vision stable for several years

O.D. –8.0 / +0.5
O.S. –10.25 / +0.75
+1.75 both eyes reading correction

Surgery Center and Laser:

Kremer Laser in King of Prussia, PA

LASIK performed with the VISX S4 laser

Opted for a monovision procedure with the left eye intentionally under
corrected.

Day 1:

The procedure was uneventful and after resting for 24 hours I was able
to drive for the first time in my life without glasses or contacts.

Three Months:

Right eye is 20/20 and left eye is 20/30

Happy with the monovision correction. Near vision is fine and I do
not need reading glasses.

No problems with halos etc. at night.

Still a touch of dry eye but it is improving on a weekly basis.

So far I am thrilled with the results. Will report back at six
months.

Monovision seems to be very popular with hyperopic lasik. Were you
already doing monovision with contact lenses before surgery?

Notice how few responses you are going to get for your positve
message. The expected positive outcomes get ignored.

I am glad the procedure went well for you! I tried the contacts before my
surgery to see if the mono vision would suit my lifestyle. It was not
something I could adjust to. I am a 36 year old female. I am still very happy
with my surgery! I too, have the touch of dry eyes, especially in the morning.
I am waiting for my six month follow up too. Best of continue luck!
