Okay guys, the Fair is over and I am still alive - I think - yeah, I'm sure
I'm still alive because I hurt too much not to be alive! I have a ton of
paperwork to complete and I need to go back to the Fair grounds one more
time and then it really is over for me - until next year. LOL

It was awesome this year except it rained hard Thursday night and flooded
the tent inside. Muddy muck! But my tent was beautiful, in spite of the mud!

My photography and several ink drawings won blue ribbons in the professional
category. Yep, I'm proud but I'm really proud of the youngest granddaughter
who happened to take my camera this summer while visiting and she shot
several good pictures. She had never taken photos before so it was her first
time playing with the camera! So I matted them and framed them and entered
those too. She got a Best in Show! (That's the big special ribbon!) I know
the judge but he always judges blindly so he doesn't know whose stuff he
judging but when I told him who took certain pictures (after the judging was
done) he just laughed and said it runs in the family. The younger
granddaughter took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on all her photos! Got to get
that kid a camera of her own, too!

I do have some pictures of the Fair and I'll try to get them out to those
who want them.

Oh, and also the two pen and ink drawings I gave to the 4H were auctioned
and were sold for a small fortune! Then I had about 4 people who want me to
do drawings for them and swear they will call me. So I guess I'll be busy
drawing for a while!

I am okay, I think. I do hurt and I need lots of rest! I'll tell you all
more later.
Hope all is well with all of you.

Congrats to your granddaughter! I have always loved the thought of
having a big camera and being able to spot a good pic. Never could
afford a big camera though...lol! Nonetheless, I always enjoy your
photo's. I have one of them on my desktop now.

Thanks Maggie. I wish I had a really big camera - um, big lens actually with
a more powerful camera. But I only have a little camera - it was the most I
could afford. Cameras are expensive!

Talk about waiting for a good pic - in about two weeks the soybean leaves
should be turning yellow and there's this old "house" with a faded red tin
roof against the field. Perfect fall colors if I can catch it just right.

I'm still not back to my normal self. Still sleeping most of the day away
and fighting with the neuralgia. I'm so tired of all of this! I think I was
too tired while trying to get some info out to the newspapers on Monday and
that is how I hosed my computer. I can't even remember what exactly I did
to screw it up!
