| Hello
Thank you everyone for your concern, I just wanted to say hello.
I am feeling a little better each day and stress THE LITTLE!!!. Went to
the doc and he removed a all the dressing on the ankle and foot. UGH, even
being a nurse they had to ask me if it made me ill. LOL. SO you know it
don't look too hot.
The pain is less but today I had to stop the vicodine. Making me sick to
stomache and even lowest dose, plus it makes HOT flashes seem like a walk in
the snow LOL. I can't do that crap no more.
I missed Bev but appreciate her calling and making me feel better each time.
I can not get the foot wet till after stitches but he told me that would be
another maybe 3 weeks or more. UGH . I just hope our reservations for our
get away is still going to be good in mid sept. At least I know I won't be
walking much yet.
I am on crutches and now the costo has kicked in, so I am using a heating
pad to my chest and back with ice to my foot. some fun for an old lady. I am
not a setter and this is driving me bonkers but at least I have hope it
works for me to walk more with out pain.
I will try and keep in touch.
Hello to all and to all It is time for my NAP again

So glad you are doing somewhat 'better' Janers!
At least you have the gumption to get up on those crutches and move =
about cause, as I am sure you know what with your medical health back =
ground, that it will help your entire body heal that much quicker being =
upright and in motion as opposed to lying down and doing 'nyet'.... it =
may feel a bit better physically lying down but even mentally I will lay =
odds that you feel better 'up than down'?!
Anyway, you have my prayers for quick healing and low pain to no pain =
levels!!
Good luck and happy days ahead!!
hugs,
from Shelagh

| Janers,
Glad to have you feeling enough better to give us all an update....but sorry
that you are having to deal with the choice of pain or the real icky sick
feeling that the pain meds cause. Praying that the pain soon leaves and
that you will be feeling much better quickly.
Hugs,
Sherry

| I had wondered what you had done, I am sure you will make your
get-away, I think that was in another post.
Even nurses are not prepared to see their own bodies after a surgery,
its a much different angle and concern. yes!
Rest and heal, I know the costo can be most painful too.
