Sad News - Bayta a.k.a. B*tthead

| Hello my friends. I have not been around in a long time. I am not
"back" - simply too much going on right now.
I wanted to pass on this news though as many of you knew how much I
adored my furkid, Bayta. She made 12 years this April. Physically
(outwardly) she was the picture of health. Most people who saw her
couldn't believe she was 12.
A few weeks ago mild paranoia and "dominance" behavior that began about
2 months ago began to turn into sudden severe aggression. We tried
some medicines and diet changes and prayed she would respond. Based on
the symptoms and sudden onset, the vet believes she had either a brain
tumor or some other major central nervous system damage. After two
attacks last weekend in which she actually made contact with me rather
than just threatening, and several weeks of high anxiety on her part as
she jumped at every sound and growled when we approached her crate, we
accepted that life for her was just too scary and confusing and at 50
lbs she was capable of doing significant damage. It was the hardest
decision I have ever made but on Monday this week she was relieved of
her fear and confusion. Her last moments were peaceful and she let
Mommy smooch the top of her head again (she had not for about two
months). My heart aches and every sound I hear during the day I think
she is still in the house. But I also know she is happy now.
I miss everyone and hope that someday I'll be able to find the
motivation to rejoin ASL and socialize a bit more. Until then, my love
to all of you.
A little reminder of Bayta Grace when she was happy.

Blessed be,

| Oh Kcat my heart bleeds for you, I understand your distress, I hope you can
just remember the good times with Bayta, not the sad end days. You are in
my thoughts,
love Janet

| I am so sorry for your loss of your Furfriend. I had to do the same thing
with my "Bubba" of 16 years. It was very hard. Now they are playing
together.
Only time will heal your heart and thinking of wonderful memories will help.
Many Hugs,
Paulette

| So what was Bayta, furkid wise. Doesn't matter, I know, the grieving goes
on. I'm so sorry. I held one while he crossed over & I still cry, but he was
afraid of strangers; ie vets. You did the right thing & think - there'll be
a whole buncha furkids waiting for you when it's your turn! I truly believe
that. I'm still in turmoil about my horse; that's gonna be a really tough
decision. Bless you & Bayta.
