| Well, although I was able to walk a bit without assistance yesterday,
today I feel as if I am back where I was. Not sure if yesterday was a
'wishful thinking' situation or what.
After two days without Plaquanil, I do feel the fatigue returning ...
two naps today.
I know that there are other treatment options for Lupus ... and I know
that Plaquanil is generally considered the first line treatment. I
honestly believed that I had done my homework, reading books about
Lupus ~ but the only thing they talked about was issues with vision. I
will try very hard to remember this lesson ...
A friend of mine who is a nurse listened to my email rant, and her
question to me was is this weakness reversable, if indeed it is the
result of the Plaquanil. She told me that there are some cholesterol
medications that have the same result, and that the muscle weakness is
not reversable.
Sure wish I knew ... but at this point, I will just have to wait and
see ~ and hope for the best.
