But they've given you the perfect reason to get a cat!
Find one that was raised near a large field, or on a
farm/ranch, where it will have learned to do a proper
job of mousing. You'll know when the cat has done
his job, because he'll leave the dead mouse where you
can find it . . . usually with your bare foot when you
get out of bed.
Until then, can you vacuum up the spilled bird seed?
Loose food just encourages mice to invite their
friends over for a party.
