Hi gang, reading posts and seeing all your names makes me happy.

I am doing pretty good. Started the MTX shots 7 weeks ago. Seven sticks so
far LOL and I must say the amount of joint pain has diminished quite a
bit.
The side effects when taking the shot, that night and next day were kinda
hard to get over but with each shot, it is getting easier. Make me feel
like I am a noodle.
Still alot of nausea but HEY better than pain right?
I also have found the fatigue is much less too, so that is good. MORE
stamina, shall I say LOL

I am however finding that I am much more forgetful. NO it is not with my
age people....even though the big 6 0 is coming in a few weeks
haha.
Before I started the shots of MTX, I was experiencing headaches on the off
but had the neck injected and they got better.
Now they are back and sometimes daily. I am forgetting things. LOST a
bottle of water one day found it back 2 weeks later stuffed under some
blankets??? Yep don't ask me why.
Then putting stuff in refrig that need to go to the utility cabinet..
Typing and writing words that don't make sense Then I can't read it...duh
(using spell check here LOL)
And also when I talk I hesitate and can not think of the words I need to
say. OH I can see it but brain won't let me say it. This happens a lot and
now the rheumy told me of Lupus attacking the brain. something I didn't
want to hear.
At first she said all my meds but then retracted cause she didn't feel the
MTX would cause that.
so if it keeps up and dizzy spells, then an MRI...
Hot dang, I am just feeling good and ready to ride my hubby's scooter LOL.
And I will too.
So let's hope this is a fluke and there is nothing but meds doing
it.....but ..........

My sed rate on MTX is still higher than the 6 weeks before with out
MTX...figure that out?? Plus I dropped a 1mg of medrol...amen to that one.
WBC are low so no upping MTX yet........hmm complicated right???

Hope you all are behaving yourself and if anyone has anything to tell me,
let's hear from you, here or at my private dwelling haha

Summer is around the corner, get that sunblock on, your hats and your sun
clothes....enjoy yourself. LIFE is short
hugs

Something is messing with your mind. I was that way once when I was on some
major painkillers. At the time I thought I was functioning rather well.
After I was off the meds I discovered how dangerous I probably was. (Kitchen
knives in the wrong drawers, etc.) Something is probably doing it to you.

Keys? Car keys? Me? Find my keys????? LOL I'm also the same with words. My
granddaughter just looks at me and says "Spit it out!" Damn it is
frustrating. Now I get to chalk it up to lupus. But water bottles in the
linen closet? That tells me there is something going on.

I couldn't think of too much to say as I think so much describes the way my
brain has functioned for way too long. Something like I really do miss my
mind!!!!!

Hang in there Janers. Hopefully it is a med and only a temp reaction. We
can all hope and pray for that.

Hugs,
Sherry

That "something" could be lupus and/or antiphospholipid syndrome; or a
medicine; or another cause entirely.

Hugs janers,
That sometimes happens to me when I'm stressed and my mind is thinking of too
many things (but usually no headaches or dizzyness).

maybe that test is not a bad idea.
A lady on the fibro newsgroup had similar symptoms.
She had an aneurysm. Maybe you saw her post?
Not everything is Lupus.
Keep in touch and let us know you're doing okay, ok?

I have on-and-off problems with dizziness, forgetfulness, and "can't
think"-ness also. I have had a couple of prescriptions for an MRI (to
"rule out" CNS Lupus) but haven't actually gotten it yet. The last
round ... I ran into confusion about clearance from insurance; put it on
the back burner and the days zip by. Need to make that appoinment asap!

I admit, too, that I struggle a bit with claustrophia so it's easy to
put this off. The doctor sent me to an OPEN MRI which should be ok.

Anyone here have experience with an MRI of the head. What was it like?
How long? Results helpful?

Hey there, I just wanted to say, that I had OPEN MRI's done. One for my
neck and one on my upper, and lower spine.

Nothing to open ones. The noise for some is distracting but ask them to
play some music and they will do so. Plus you got to lay still, very still.

suggest a pain pill before you go, or muscle relaxant.

go for it
