I'm finding it harder and harder to tolerate my contact lenses.
But I see much better with them than with my glasses.

Has anyone with lupus ever had LASIK surgery?
What are the results? side-effects?

From my quick research, it seems like it's not an
absolute bar to the procedure, but I'd like to hear
your experiences.

Hi, my opthamogist said he would be very hesitant to do Lasik on me because
of possible scar tissue. He said if I really wanted it, he would do one eye
at a time at 6 month intervals. I chose not to.

I have Lupus and have had LASIK. I truely did not know of the possible
complications prior to having it done; or chose to keep my "head in the
sand" so that I could have my way, possibly.

I can say that I still wake up each day and have a thankful heart because
I am able to see. And see clearly, which really was never accomplished
from wearing contacts or glasses. It was the best money that I ever
spent!
