Test-what's going on w/Google?

| I access this group through Google and it is only giving me messages
from April 1-nothing current. I tried at home and now I'm at the public
library. Not sure what to do.

There are only two posts from since 4/1 excluding this one I'm typing.
Yours and a follow-up to yours.
I'm not using google and very rarely have problems with getting all posts on
my server.
we're just not talkin'.

Hmm, I show 3 posts on 4/2 and 1 on 4/3. This will be the 4th today. Still
that's a very quiet group. Not even any killfiled posts <grin>.

BTW is there a reason why you use google groups rather than a news (nntp)
client to read and post? Google tends to be slow to propagate to the rest
of usenet and breaks some formatting.

As for me, my mid-back is bothering the dickens out of me.
I am wondering how many calories are in the medicine i shovel down my throat
each day.
I am wishing I could lose weight but it's rather difficult to do when a
person just stays home and looks stupid.

| I used to used Internet Explorer and liked it better (except that my
posts didn't show up immediately as they do on google) but when I got a
new computer my brother set it up and told me just to access the groups
through Google. I'm not very good at computer stuff (no kidding)...

Well I guess you mean you used to use Outlook Express (one of the poorer
readers available. Posts made with Google show up there immediately but do
not show up as fast for those of us using news client software. Of course
how fast they show up depends on the news server that is used.
Nobody in this group will complain about those "not very good at computer
stuff". You have lots of company here.
