Hi, Deb here again, another moan and advice I'm afraid;
a few nights ago I had my first excruciating night of cramps to both my
legs, hips right down to the tips of my toes. I spent almost allnight
prowling round the house, in tears, couldn't sit down never mind lie down
until about 5.30am. It got to the point of Rob almost phoning for an
ambulance!
I've had the odd cramp before, but never in both legs at the same time for
that length of time. Still getting odd 'tingly' sensations, but the pain
seems to be better; anyone else had this? any input appreciated,
Deb

I'm so sorry, Deb.
The past few weeks (and months) I've been having cramps too but not as bad as
you.
When they occur in my legs, I point my toes straight out to get the cramps to
stop.
I wonder if tippy-toeing would help you?
I also get them in my arms and hands. Very painful.
wish I knew the answers to make us better.
Hugs
J

You have any muscle relaxants? quinine or tonic water. Pea soup (will help
you forget those cramps and move on to bigger and better things).

My cramps are often spasms and I have gone to ER with them. Sometimes it is
all that works. Why be a martyr.

Always,

Hi Deb,
I agree with Cloud's suggestion about Tonic water. It contains quinine that
calmes leg cramps and restlessness. The other thought I had was about
whether or not you are getting enough calcium and/or B12.

Was told by a doctor that when muscle cramps hit, try taking extra calcium
supplement for awhile and see first if that works for you

Just reading on now LOL

My worst experience with leg cramps was 3-4 days after I started a
Statin (Pravachol, I think it was) for cholesterol. Doctor told me to
stop immediately. Any chance you started new medication recently?

How are you doing now? This is a miserable experience, I'm sure.
