Author Homeopathy - A story

I use homeopathic products mainly as my treatments. I on medications
for my Gastroparesis but the rest I take homeopathic remedies for. I'm
being treated for tick borne illnesses, and digestive and allergy
problems.

I just had a IBS type reaction to something I ate and have had cold like
systems to the point of it changing my voice some. I took Arsenicum
Album which my naturopath prescribed recently when I had a bad rash from
a food allergy. I'm feeling much better since starting taking this last
night and so far no more need to blow my nose as I have been doing. One
use of this is for allergies or digestive upsets.

Just thought I'd give you a small intro into homeopathy with this
article titled, "Article of Homeopathy":
http://home.att.net/~Olenev/articles13.htm

Hopefully this will interest someone enough to read more about
Homeopathy, it has been a help to me to years now. My GP believes in
naturopaths so much he says to see my naturopath before I make an
appointment with him, he says they are often more helpful especially
when it comes to allergies.

Did you know that the English Queen uses homeopathy? It is freely available
on our NHS in some areas of the UK.
How do you feel about chemicals and homeopathy? A friend of mine used to have
it and she wasn't allowed tea, coffee, nicotine and such when she was taking
the homeopathic remedies because it would interfere.
I know a homeopath and he told me to come and see him if I got an infection
rather than going to the doctor. But I am on a lot of medications and I don't
think he would approve of them!

Homeopaths differ in their approach about the use of tea and such. I
went to a Homeopath once who didn't even want me using mint toothpaste.

The naturopath I go that does homeopathy has me taking enzymes with mint
in them, I tested that those would work and not the first bottles of
enzymes she tested me with, so I asked her about the mint. She said it
wouldn't matter because I was taking my homeopathics away from meals (I
take them 15 minutes before or 1 hour after meals). Some Homeopaths
even think these foods they usually have you stay away from may not
matter at all.

This is how going to a Naturopath or Homeopath goes here with regard to
medications. They treat you naturally but they don't take you off your
medications that you need to be on. My naturopath took me off a thyroid
supplement I no longer needed but I'm on some medications myself right
now and she has no treatments where she could replace these medications
so she has not even mentioned me getting off them. If I was on
something that she could treat as well or better than one of my
medications that would be a different story. So you don't have to worry
about having your medications taken from you. Also, when I got off the
thyroid supplement it took a long time of lowering the dose before I
could get off it completely.

I know one lady who goes to my ND who has been treated with Flower
Essences and says it has helped her mentally so much that it has changed
her life. Some of these natural treatments work well. My experience
with flower remedies has been more mild than hers but I have noticed
that they work in times when I was feeling overwhelmed or such to get me
back on track.

Hi Diane,
I did try going to a highly recommended homeopathic physician once. I knew I
was getting sick again, and I wanted to give it a try. I followed the diet
to the letter( never cheated once--ever) and took all of the natural
remedies he prescribed. I got sicker and sicker and ended up in hospital,
because I was in a life threatening situation. I am not saying that
homeopathy can't help. I am saying that it may depend on the severity of
illness.

BJ, so sorry you had that experience. I haven't had any luck seeing a
Homeopath either. Or a Chinese herbalist for that matter. I have done
better seeing an ND.
I've had a lot of help with Homeopathy. The use of Cell Salts type
Homeopathy has really helped as well as the type found in pellet form
that comes in the vials you can buy at an ND's office or health food
store. The Cell Salts have helped me with Calcium and Magnesium
problems at the cellular level for starters. The type in the vials have
helped to treat my serious allergy reactions when my MD's bag of tricks
was not helpful.

Homeopathy hasn't worked so well for my tick illnesses though, I'm not
sure it is helping with that much in fact.
