Thanks so much for your info. I printed it out because I want to start
getting to know people and my memory is bad. I am going to print off
info about other here too and keep them in a notebook to read now and
than.

I hope this thread helps you, my heart did a little leap when you said
that, I love to inspire others and going out to the art ledge and Mac
club I think will inspire me. I never had a passion of any kind like
your breeding of dog, I think I would of loved that but I started
showing signs I was not well around age 7 or 8. It is just a guess but
that is when I was told I was allergic to the sun, or course it probably
was when my Lupus started. I was surfing last night, I looked up
Gastroparesis medications because the two I'm trying right now are not
kicked in to work yet or I will need to try something else. Well one
site said what the causes of GP could be and it listed Lupus. It is the
first time I see that. I had the symptoms of GP that young as well.

What I wanted to tell you is I never had the chance to find my passion
but it is now of all times now that I don't have to work that I'm
exploring what I might enjoy. Better late than never, I'll be 50 in Aug.

There are many kinds of art ledges you might be able to join. Near me,
one does only modern art, the one I go to does more paining and drawing.
Another one does just crafts; if I had the energy I'd like to add that
one on too.

I am a member of a gem and mineral club but that isn't working out with
my bad memory since I am not really learning names of rocks and I can't
drive much at all so I can't get to many of the outings. I just don't
feel it fits me much. The art ledge seems a better fit. The Mac club
will be great for me as well I think. These I just started so I feel
I'm starting anew again.

I really had a hard time finding these clubs since our town has only a
few and not all have websites or advertise well. The gem club is almost
next to my house and I didn't know it for years. I took a few art
classes, teacher couldn't explain himself out of a paperbag though, I
didn't get much out of that, but my teacher is now the president of the
art ledge and that's how I found out about it. I got interested in the
Mac and went to the Apple website, I had been looking around the site
for a few months when I saw they had information on local clubs that
could be found by entering ones zip code. That's how I found that club.

If you go to your favorite search and type in your town and the word
club or similar word(s) you will find clubs and such in your area.
There just isn't much in my area I'm interested in since I don't collect
fish, go fishing, have a need for a mother's club, or what to learn how
to do public speaking. I'm not well enough to join a town club that
helps the town with fund raisring or clean up outings and such either.

The senior center have has free classes for seniors, painting classes
and computer classes are a few of them. They have some bus trips that
aren't too expensive and the one here offers free movies once a week.
