Lupus symptom help
|
|
|
| I was diagnosed with SLE about a year and a half ago. My WBC has been
slightly low, but I have not shown any inflamation nor other symptoms.
For years,I have been taking a product called OPC-3. It is a powerfull
anti-oxident made from grape seed, billberry, red wine and pine bark. I
took it because I heard anti-oxidents were beneficial for my heart, etc.
Recently, I read an article about Lupus patients who had relief from
their symptons by taking anti-oxidents.
Little did I know that the anti-oxident I had been taking could very
well be suppressing my symptoms.
When I mentioned this to my rhuematologist he agreed and said studies
have shown that anti-oxidents can help keep inflamation of the joints
down.
I get my OPC-3 at www.utb.unfranchise.com click on the health and
nutrition link.

Glad to hear you have had a similar experience. I hope other people will
read this message and use antioxidents - they don't have the negative side
effects of medications the doctors prescribe.......
Take care,

I take vitamin c and citrus bioflavanoids for a few years now, which are a
kind of antioxidant. I am on some conventional meds too. I believe it helps
me but no proof.
Antioxidents are in fresh fruit and veg too which I try to have a good amount
each day. Sometimes I just manage dried and frozen fruit and veg as it is
easier. I put dried fruit on my breakfast cereal.
