if you can handle the "loss" of dollars (and I know many of us can't) it may
be that you could ask them to just apply the additional subscriptions to the
following two years.
I'm foggy too. I was talking to my daughter the other day and she said
"I'll call you when I get the package." I got off the phone and went back
to my work then 5 minutes later decided I needed to call and tell her to "be
sure and call me when you get the package."
"uh... yeah, mom. I just said that."
oh... neverrrmiiiiind.
the holidays have taken their toll this year. too much stress.

| Duh, I didn't even think of doing that.
So I'm not the only one who feels like she's losing her mind.

I spent ages making a smoothie for lunch yesterday. I added half a banana
and a packet of soft tofu that had been in the fridge for a month or so. I
spent even longer chopping up dates, which is no easy matter as I have
neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I added grapes and soya milk and waited
for it to blend.
I was just about to drink it and it literally flew out of my hand and dropped
on the floor, banging against the oven door as it went down, causing the oven
door to open and spraying my tea towels with goo. It bounced on the floor and
sprayed smoothie up all over the wall, as high as the top of the door and
leaving a coating of goo and mushed up dates all over the floor. I had to go
in the bathroom to retrieve the mop which I keep behind the chair as my flat
has no mop cupboard. I then had to move the washing out of the way to get to
the bath tap to fill the mop bucket, almost tripping over the chair as I did
so. The goo on the kithen floor was so thick I had to use 2 buckets of water
to clean it up and it still isn't all cleaned up as it dried in the time I
was getting the water, and stuck to the floor.
I still don't know how I managed to drop it. Also I am still finding bits of
goo on the door today. Is this brain fog or body fog? The one good thing is
the blender did not break. The MOTH gave me it, good job I insisted on
lightweight plastic!

Errrm, you're meant to switch the blender off before you drink the

Gee, I can sure relate. I've been breaking things for weeks and there they were
right in my hand just before it/they dropped.
I'm sorry about your smoothie, hun.

| I would've left it... hubby or service master would've cleaned it. When
things like this happen, I get so frustrated.
As for chopping, you need one of those pampered chef things... with the
blade that changes position... very neat and tidy. There are generic
brands....
http://www.pamperedchef.com/our_pro...categoryCode=CE
there are also tiny food processors, don't know if that would work as I've
never used dates for anything.

I do too. I have to take a deep breath (lots) and give myself a pep talk.
I have a man around but he does not live with me and he wasn't there that day
so if I had left it I would not have been able to use the kitchen as it was
all over the floor. There is no one here to deal with such things.

I cannot use most of the electrical equipment as my hand weakness and
movement disorder is fairly extensive. Mostly the machines are either too
heavy for me or are too difficult to get tops off, clean, and so on. The
blender was carefully chosen to be easy to use. I have got a system with
chopping and peeling which involves a lot of rubberised grip equipment so I
can manage a fair bit nowadays, given time and patience. It would have worked
ok if the blender jug had not slipped out of my grip. Looking back it may
have been as I was trying to get the lid off that my grip may have been lost.

Lecithin fraction linked to memory functioning
A lecithin fraction that some studies have shown can boost memory and
concentration is now available in liquid and powder form for food
formulations.
The fraction, phosphatidylserine (PS), is already sold in dietary
supplements and is just starting to be included in foods. Clinical
trials have shown it to be effective in improving human brain function.
http://tinyurl.com/6m7ug
The ability to suppress the iron-dependent decomposition of PC-OOH may
explain the unique antioxidant activity of phosphatidylserine.
PMID: 11768154 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description
Lecithin contains several essential phospholipids required by every
living cell in the human body. These phospholipids include
Phosphatidylserine, Phosphatidylcholine, Phosphatidylinositol,
Phosphatidylethanolamine, Phosphatidylglycerol, Phosphatidic Acid and
others. Lecithin breaks down cholesterol and fats in the blood,
allowing them to be effectively utilized by the cells of the body.
Lecithin aids in the absorption of the fat soluble Vitamins A, D, E and
K, and improves the health of the nervous system.

eww..dates..i threw mine out after trying everything I had including a crowbar
and hammer. It was a date bar (square). Somebody said to soak it in water,
somebody said to drop it in boiling water, nothing softened it up enough to chop
it up.
Aren't raisins as good?
I've had a "chopper" for years now. I spray it with a sprayer and hot water to
wash it (most times).
It looks like the one at the top (sort of)
http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/ss...r_moulinex.html but nothing comes out
smooth that wasn't to begin with unless I add a bit of water and sometimes even
that doesn't. It works for small tasks, like grinding up crackers or onions. Just
press on the top. That one looks like it's got buttons, mine's only one-speed.

| I have hand weakness too. What I like about this device is that it doesn't
require hand strength... I can use my forearms to push down on it.
It's not electrical, a manual device. A lot of things hurt my hands but
this doesn't
For some reason, I get the overwhelmed feeling when it comes to cleaning my
house or cleaning anything. I used to be such a neat freak and now, while I
would love it to be spotless, I just can't do it.... and if dh starts to
clean, I get mad if he doesn't do it my way. I have to work on that.
My kids are getting to the age where they do some things. My 7yo daughter
washed a wall for me, using one of those Mr Clean Erasers. You can get a
free sample
http://www.startsampling.com/sm/334...ource=canhms803
My father has offered to pay for a maid but I just can't do it... I quit my
job and need to find a method to clean and get stuff done. It's hard (as
you know)... I slept most of today away.... I'm up now but don't feel like
doing anything. Ugh.
I hate this da*n disease.

| Hi Nicole H )
Just a word from a 4x dad.
Relax , you have a lupy thingy , don't look when D/H trys to help give him
coodos even if he screws
up in your standards of thinking. Try the Molly Maid , will make you Dad at
ease and feel he can still help his girl plus you would be spending more
time not tried with your childern and that has to be a plus for them !
