Well finally a show with a patient with SLE. I could not believe it, and
the wife of the patient was "right" on the money, helping her hubby.

It showed just how darn complicated this disease can be for some as well as
how many doctors it takes to maintain some quality of life. I give this an
A for sure. Shows quite well what doctors feel like when called upon. I
also give Abby a hug for shoving the dialysis in the dialysis doctors face.

Another area touched on was Quality of life of a Chinese man, who had none
really. I won't get into an arguement with any of you, but I do believe
his daughter granted his last wish and it was hard for her but she did the
right thing.
I know it is only a TV show but one that hit many problems on the head in
ONE show, and did it well.

Any one see, and anyone have OPINIONS?

Yes. LOVED the wife. We should all write to ER thanking them for the
correct portrayal of this DD.
The wife was so great. She knew it all.

How many of us have done the specialist juggling. It's crap. Just like
when you're pregnant.
I like that new dr that is really tough on Abby. It was about time she
stepped up.

If we or our loved ones aren't our advocate, no one else will be. We have
to demand adequate healthcare.
Off my soap box.

I'll leave it at general agreement on all points for now. :-)

I have Opinions a plenty. My mom and I both have SLE and it is hard to see
so many docs. I was dxed while I was pregnant with my son. What a mess.
You must carry your records with you or someone will miss something. You
have to tell docs what they are doing because they don't take the time to
talk to each other. At least my husband tries to help. My mom is on her
own with a friend. There husbands are in denyal. We all should have a
relative who loves us enough to be a PITA to those who don't know you and
just want to do a job.

As for the "Quality of life" my mom has made it clear that when she gets
bad I will have nothing to worry about. Her and I are close and I am only
just beginning to understand her feelings on the subject. I am her
protection from the rest of our family. I have medical power of attny for
when I need it. I know her wishes. I would not go against her wishes even
if it was what I thought best. In the end it is her life and her dignity.

Oh well just my 2 cents

As Always,
