After 4 miscarriages and 2 failed IVF cycles, I was wondering if
anyone with Lupus inderwent immuno therapy while doing an IVF cycle?

Also, looking for any treatments used for lupus and pregnancy and
repeated miscarriages.

Thanks!

I did have IV cyclophosphamide and was advised not to become pregnant.
I am now on IV pamidronate for osteoporosis and was advised similar.
Read your drug leaflets, that should come with he meds you take, they will
say whether pregnancy is advised against. Many meds can harm the feotus.
Your pharmacist should be able to give free advice about pregnancy and meds.
Sorry to be so negative.

Shelagh has a section on pregnancy http://continue.to/lupus
However, based on Herbwormwood's reply, it seems that might not be good
for the baby and of course, stopping your treatments is not good for you,
and therefore is not good for the baby.

Once your disease is under control (and you don't need the meds you're
taking), perhaps you could follow what it says on Shelagh's webpage.
Do make sure you don't have Hughes Syndrome

I do not think immunosupressant drugs and pregnancy mix.
What has the doctor said? I think one has to come off them while and to be
pregnant otherwise the baby is at risk.
Have heard that when women are pregnant, the hormonal change is beneficial
to well-being. It is after the delivery of the baby where I have heard the
woman is most susceptable to flares, etc due to the hormonal shift.

That is interesting Cloud,
I came down with Lupus 6 months after my daughter was born.
However 28 years ago they did not want me to get pregnant again.
They have come a long way since then.
Connie have you talked to a high risk GPN?
