OT: Update On Bayta
|
|
|
| Bay got her sutures out yesterday from the second ear surgery. Seems to be
holding up well but we're keeping her in the e-collar for a couple of more
days while some lingering inflammation is taken care of. She remains on
pred though - at least for a few more days.
She's going to be so happy when that collar comes off for good. And so will
we. She's learned some tricks with it. to really irritate us, she comes up
and bangs against the backs of our legs or if we're in our reclines she
*deliberately* snags it on our feet and drags it. I know it's intentional
because a moment later you can offer her a treat and she can race out of the
room through a narrow gap and not hit walls or furniture. When she's not
getting enough attention she will also start walking around the room and
banging it into every shelf, table, chair, t.v. - it makes a satisfying loud
clunk because of the megaphone effect.
She's also learned to catch kibble in it - rather than trying to snap at the
kibble in the air with her mouth she just holds her head up and lets it fall
in the collar, then lowers her head and the kibble rolls onto the floor.
:-)
love muh dog.

| Aawwww. We're cat people here (have three of them) but I can just see
my cats doing the same thing that Bayta does to get sympathy/attention.
In fact, I tell people we don't have an empty nest because we have all
these cats demanding attention. Can't imagine life without our pets!

Ditto on the 'cat people' sentiment... we have 2 and I just can NOT imagine
being without them! They are a huge part of my life... hmmm what does that
tell you <g>! I too have caught them 'acting silly' strictly for the
attention I very willingly give them LOL.
