Hi guys I am delurking to say hi. Things have been crazy not to mention we
have been going through allot with my grandfathers health. Cancer has taken
over and he is at home now with hospice and it will not be long.
I see allot of people out there who are changing from Vioxx to another
NSAID. I wish you the best. I am currently still having flares and periods
of being in bed for days. So I have chose to lurk for awhile. I just wanted
to say hi and I hope everyone is doing well. I am thinking of filing for
ssi soon. If anyone has any pointers let me know.
Miss you guys !

Hi Anty Rhonda Pigmet here to make your day happy!

I am so sorry to hear that you are not feelin well. Maybe somthin in the
air, do ya think? Mair aint feelin so good either, so that means I get to
play with pillows and blankets all day, makin forts and tents and stuff.

I do wish that you get better soon. Maybe when you are in bed you can make
a neat fort with the blankets and pillows too!

I've lurked enough here to recognize your name.

=46or SSI, get legal aid (if you qualify) or a lawyer who specializes in
SSI/SSD. I'm on SSI and the legal aid was what helped me get it.

=46or the rest, you have my prayers and best wishes.

If it is anything like what it is like here in the UK, yes yes, get legal aid
or a professional advocate to help you fill the forms in. It is not so much
that they are complicated as you just have to answer the questions in a
certain way, otherwise you wont get it. Don't be shy, these people are used
to helping us to fill these forms in and will really help you.

It is worth the effort not to be continually worrying about money and whether
you will be able to afford essential bills.

My father-in-law passed on in a hospice and those people there are so kind.
On NSAIDs, my rheumy does not believe in the use of NSAIDs as he has stated,
they pool fluid to the extremities,
and I sure do not need no more edema ANYWHERE. There are days I feel like
one big water balloon.
Oh, and less someone should not tell you, never take more then one brand
NSAID at any given time.
As far as SSI or SSDI, I think a disabled person should retain a lawyer from
the very beginning. In fact, being disabled, I can honestly say I had
trouble with the initial application and became progressively more ill as
time passed on. Besides, it takes forever sometime for SSDI to take effect,
but generally have heard SSI takes effect immediately. With SSI an
applicant must meet financial crittier... in other words, be dirt poor.
Which in the good ol' USA, is next to being dead. If SSDI, an applicant
must meet a certain number of work credits to qualify.
It's a long road, but heck... the sooner a person files... the sooner they
can jump the red tape toward receiving their benefits.
Or somethin' like that.
Always,
