deb from uk here, I've been trying to keep up with everyone, but not
achieving much at the moment. I was struck down with a killer cold about 10
days ago, ignored symptoms for a while, just took Sudafed (the only thing I
could take with all my other meds) to try and dry up the yuk that comes with
a cold. Anyway, didn't go to the docs and ended up with pleurisy; I know,
stupid! serves me right! I should know better!
Now on antibiotics, day 5 now, I think they're just starting to kick in;
breathings still crap but pain not quite as bad.
It's taken my mind off my joints for a bit if nothing else.
Sorry all I seem to do is moan when I post,
wheezing, gasping deb from Yorkshire.
(nice to see another deb on the group, should confuse me good and proper,
welcome).

Hey Deb,
A thought just occurred to me. Do they give flu shots in GB and around what
time of year do you folks receive them.
Also, because the flu shots were made in GB, are you folks experiencing a
flu shortage there?
Oh, and forgot exactly why but I can not take products with Sudafed in them.
Not sure if it is because of the Asthma or High Blood Pressure. Does anyone
here have info on it as to why Sudafed should not be taken for certain
people?
Feel better too soon, Deb!!
Always,

Yes, although not so bad as yours because we have 4 or 5 suppliers.

Aside: interesting bit in the papers on which USA politicians have or
haven't had it

we usually get flu jabs end September time; I've only ever had it once and
ended up in bed for a week, not bothered since, I'd rather put up with bad
colds. As far as I know there's no shortage here, but not sure.
I wasn't aware that Sudafed reacts with other things, I took it as it was
the only thing I could find that didn't contain paracetamol; I'm on that
much stuff now even the pharmacy has problems keeping up!!
