Todays Labs - Thoughts?
|
|
|
| Total T = 435
E2 = 24.3
Prolactin = 7.9
They don't seem bad to me. So.... is there something here that is the
culprit for my lack of sensitivity, low libido, and sometimes anorgasmia?
Or can someone help me with other factors?
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
I didn't mean to ignore the other post regarding the best course of
action should your prolactin be high. The point is moot now, but high
prolactin can be treated with Dostinex and Bromocriptine. Dostinex,
it has recently been found, can cause heart valve problems (maybe
you've seen commercials from lawyers willing to sue on your behalf if
you've taken Dostinex and have problems). The research was done with
Parkinson's sufferers -- they typically take far more Dostinex than
those of us with hormone problems do.
It's good that you had your levels tested.
The refercnece ranges I have for total T labwork are,
300-1000 or 241-827 (LabCorp)
And prolactin,
1.6-18.8 and 2.1-17.7 (LabCorp)
This isn't to say your lab used either reference range, but if it did,
your prolactin falls within range as is your total T.
There are other people here who will be able to give you better advice
regarding your bloodwork.
What was the reference range for the E2?
