| Pfizer finally won.
Following article appeared on CNN-HDLN/international in last hour:

India may be next since, IIRC, their WTO admission trailed China.
Solution might be for the Cipla guy to open a new company in a country
outside the WTO.

Mmmmm.......bad juju. Josh apparently moved his operation to Dubai a while
back. Cut a lot of area codes that he'd ship to. Took me outta the loop. Not
good.
I'm hoping ADC don't get hit. Or, like josh, they move to a friendlier
environment.

I'd not worry right away. IIRC, Pfizer filed it's infringement suit in
Chinese court a couple of years ago. They got a $38,000 judgment and
the Chinese version of a cease-&-desist order on two operations. The
Chinese government isn't going to voluntarily hunt for illicit E.D. med
labs on their own. Pfizer and Bayer will have to fight each instance in
court. (They don't call it a 'Chinese copy' for no particular reason.)
I think they'll find it cheaper to lobby the customs & postal cops to
handle this issue.
The scary part of this is that we may see a rise in bootleg labs in the
U.S. as is going on with PT-141 in Canada. (or even "better," Mexico!)
I don't object to the get-rich-quick approach or "full cost recovery"
when something is new. After a decade though, it's time for Pfizer to
turn Viagra into a generic or license it on the cheap; then, bring out
Viagra II.
