Cialis, 10mg works really well for me. Except for one thing. I have to
take it the morning BEFORE needing to perform. The reason is that withing 2
hours of taking 10 mg I find I can't breathe because of a crushing sensation
on my chest. Its very unpleassant. Within 4 hours I have a mild headache
which does not respond very well to paracetamol. My head starts to feel a
bit fuzzy as well. If I take it in the morning I can expect this
complication to last all day and part of the following morning. I recover
by the afternoon of the followinf day and find myself able to get a great
erection for a further day.

I am asthmatic but increasinf my steroid inhaler dosage in the run up to
taking the Cialis does not prevent the breathing problems.

Any comments appreciated.

I'm no doctor BUT... what you are describing sounds like a severe allergic
reaction to the drug. I'm assuming this is genuine Cialis you are talking
about, not a "generic." In either case, I would discontinue use of the drug
immediately... what's the point of dying with a hardon? If you haven't tried
Viagra or Levitra, consider experimenting with low doses of either.

Patient: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this.."
Doctor: "Then don't do that."

Seriously - you need to be talking to your GP...

I'm not asthmatic but gained a brown belt in 'asthmatic parent' from
multiple trips to the Emerg. Room. We learned that asthma attacks
weren't predictable and were usually aggravated by unknown combinations
of allergens. Our watchword was always to avoid the known allergens to
help minimize the effects of the surprise triggers.

I agree with the preceding two posts. This is an acute medical
situation and "getting dead" can spoil your next date! By all means,
visit your GP, preferably before your next dose of Cialis.

My Urologist routinely prescribes 10mg of Terbutaline (interestingly, an
asthma med) to knockdown an erection that lasts too long.

When I use Terbutaline it gives me an "easy-breathing" side effect.
Although 30mg of Sudafed has a faster knockdown, I find Terbutaline much
nicer, apres sex.

I'm clueless about the half-life of Terbutaline but, if you and your GP
decide on sticking with Cialis, Terbutaline might be preferable to your
inhaler if it can clear your system a few hours after it's done it's job
on the breathing problem.

OTOH, using two meds to counter one-another isn't the best strategy.
You might be better off using Caverject or Trimix. Injectibles usually
have less systemic involvement.
