Need a reliable TRIMIX Pharmacy
|
|
|
| I have been using 10/30/1 trimix for several years. I use a 1/4 cc syringe.
My dose is usually 10 units. This had resulted in a very firm erection
lasting 2-3 hours. Lately, I have been getting poor results.....not firm
enough and doesn't last long enough. This is with a recent vial obtained
from Applied Pharmacy Services in Mobile, AL. I have had similar results
with 2 recent vials from them, although they were good for the last 3 years.
Can anyone reccomend a reliable compounding pharmacy, that gives consistant
qood quality. If so,
please give the name, location and phone number.

Hummmm. Another person who is having problems with the strength or
freshness of Trimix from the former GulfSouthRX.
One of the ingredients in trimix is quite expensive and perishable. The
compounding pharmacies sometimes try to sell old stock.
To get trimix, first locate a compounding pharmacy in your city.
Go to:
http://www.iacprx.org/
and select "Find a compounding Pharmacy" at the top of the page.
Then drop by the nearest Compounding Pharmacy and ask them if they
compound trimix. (Many do not.) If they say they do, ask them which
Uro's prescribe it locally as your Uro wants to put you on the more
expensive Caverject and you cannot afford it.
I use:
http://www.medicineshoppe.com/
which has a local office and I can look the pharmacist in the eye and
ask questions.
It costs me a little more, but it is worth it.

Not a new difficulty.
Over the last two years there have been major changes in the USP and ISO
certification recommendations. Some states have tightened their
licensing regs as well. In my town, we had four local compounders in
2005. Two put in new benches and ventilation (and raised their prices.)
One has quit the business, another now ships vials in from Nevada and
retails them here or repackages them for re-shipment to the end-user.
While trans-shipment and re-shipment is OK with a lot of meds, it puts
Trimix at the mercy of FedEx, DHL or UPS. IMO--Not good. I think
you're better off carrying a thermos of ice into a local pharmacy that
compounds on-site.
Try < http://www.iacprx.org/site/PageServ...ename=home_page >. Click
on <For Patients & Pet Owners> then click on <Find a Compounding
Pharmacist near you>. You'll have to register with a name and email
address. (all indications are that the privacy on IACP is OK.) Then,
you've got some phone calls to make. Suggest you also post some of your
first-round choices here for personal comments.
Over the last 3-4 months there have been several posts here from guys in
your general area who are looking for a CP with fresh goods--no clue as
to what the problem is. I'd suggest trying several zip codes around
your metropolitan area, perhaps one across the state line.
Let this group know what you find -- it will help others.

LMac,
Actually, one does not have to give one's correct name if you choose.
Donald Duck, or any other name will work as well.
You will have to give a working eMail address and your correct zip code.
Their home page can also be accessed from their direct address which is:
http://www.iacprx.org
Go straight to "Find a Compounding Pharmacist near you" from the
drop-down menu at the top of the page.
