| I went through some past posts asking about Muse and thought I would
put in my two cents worth. My current insurance plan only covers Muse
or Caverject. So while Viagra works for me paying full cost is pretty
tough. I started using Muse (at 1000) a month ago and had only one
side effect.
Mild burning or irritation. And this is the drug. The insertion feels
fine. Its not a big deal.
The erections don't seem to need any outside sexual stimulation. You
just walk around or sit for 5 to 10 minutes and there you are. The
length of the erections is not hours long as someone had asked. Long
enough for sexual intercourse but don't get off on a tangent. The
erections are firm but not like a VED induced erection or even a Viagra
one. Although that is close.
Vrs Viagra (100mg) I would say this. I encountered a variety of side
effects with Viagra. Everything from feeling like I'm going to barf to
vision stuff and very often stuffy nose. However Viagra makes me
function more normaly. It doesn't induce an erection. It just allows
one with proper stimulation. And the effect is many hours. Often
until I wake up. *Note thats believe it or not one of the complaints.
I get nocturnal erections which wake me up since I'm not used to them
anymore.
Drug to drug Viagra is probably the one I would choose but I'm damn
glad I have Muse.

I've been lurking in this group since 1997 and posting here since
1998--originally under a different pen name, and under this one since
2000, but I had a different spam blocks for the first year or so. I
have read all the archives of this group in dejanews back when you could
still search newsgroups by date and you are the first person that I can
remember ever saying a single kind word for Muse!
Most users cannot tolerate the pain that Muse causes.

During the workup for Trimix, my uro gave me two Muse samples. Thought
was to have a means to extend a Levitra session without injecting. A
couple of weeks after the demo shot of Trimix, I tried one of the Muse
pellets. Uro was emphatic about urinating before inserting the pellet
applicator.
The pellet insertion went better than I expected--it was easy to correct
insertion angle from what I was feeling. Response was better than twice
as fast as I get from Levitra. Didn't test for duration.
The Trimix demo was just so much more impressive and now that I've
explored about 1/2 of my potential Trimix dose range I know that I can
tailor it to the desired session. Haven't bothered with the other
pellet. Might use it on travel sometime. Another issue: my HMO covers
pills or Caverject, not Muse. I can easily foot the bill for Trimix,
Muse carries a pretty steep price tag at the local drug store.

It's *tri-mix*, and it's three chemicals combined that are injected into the
side of the penis to give an on-demand erection for about as long as you
want it.
Muse is a pellet that is placed in the tip of the penis, allowed to
dissolve, and also produces an erection.
BTW, don't be afraid of Google, it doesn't bite.

The Muse pellet is provided in an applicator with a button on the top.
You pee, then slide the applicator into your dick and squeeze the
button. Then you withdraw the applicator. I got an erection, about the
equal of what I get on Levitra, in about 1/2-hour. About twice as fast
as from any of the pills -- little slower than I get on Trimix.
Downside--many guys report pain from Muse & cost is around ten times the
cost of a Trimix shot. Upside is that, without refrigeration, it keeps
better than Trimix and it doesn't interact with alfa-blockers or
nitroglycerin. ...Lmac

| I had two problems. Apparently I am allergic to the drug used in MUSE,
Caverject, and Trimix. They work, i.e., produce an erection, but it is
painful and there is no way I can enjoy intercourse.
The second problem was the cost. $155.00 for six doses. My insurance
does not cover anything like that. They paid for the RRP with no
problem. They paid for the AMS 800 with no argument. And they will
pay for an AMS 700. But no to med's for impotence.
