Hi, LMac. No, channel 7 is the ABC affiliate, WLS TV. Channel 9 is the UPN
(or whatever) affiliate, WGN.
I know that on the sat systems, you can elect to have local channels from
other cities if you don't have "locals" in your area on the sat.
Buddy of mine back home in the south has the dish. He is, like most of us,
"In the middle of nowhere". I'm at his house one evening and we're scarfing
down some venison and greens. He picks up the remote and says, "hey...check
this out" and flips the TV to the channel 5 Chicago news, and grins real
big...asks me if it makes me feel like I'm back in Chicagoland.
I told him that I need to hear a "boombox" driving down the road, and a few
"wrong number" calls in spanish, and I'll get melancholy.
Anyway...I'll check the report out and see if there's any revelations.
