With all the "circumcision" and other OT posts,I was wondering if
there is a way to block/filter out all these foolish ones?

Each day I get those cross posts I've been overloading their sites by
replying (after removing our site) with thousands of lines of

DON'T CROSSPOST INTO ALT.SUPPORT.IMPOTENCE

It seems to have slowed down except for Lipshits/

Can we all overload Lipshits' own computer?

Right now you are posting to, and I assume reading from, this group via
Google. There's not a reliable and flexible way to filter the junk with
a browser.

You posts are coming through Comcast so you should may use a mail reader
like Outlook Express or Thunderbird. Thunderbird is available free from
<<www.mozilla.org>> and you can set up it's filters for originator or
subject line content. All of "dr. lipschitz's" stuff goes into an
'already read status' when it hits my newsreader. He changes the
spelling of his name every few days so I just add that new spelling into
the filter.

Enjoy ...Lmac.

Ignoring them is better. They make a contest of this and the winner is
the one who gets the most replies.

You're delusional.

The problem is that any minute now someone in the other groups is
going to get irritated with your flooding and they are going to come
here and start flooding this group.

Jerry, when you post stuff like "Idiots I can send 1000 of these I can
send 2,000 of these..." You are really challenging some dim bulb to
come here and flood this group with 100,000 nonsense posts.

I hope that everyone here knows how to set up filters in their
newreaders.

Also Jerry. You are posting from Cox.net and what you are doing is a
clear violation of their AUP. Here is a copy of their AUP:

http://www.cox.com/policy/#Acceptable_Use_Policy

I direct your attention to paragraph 10.

Really? After all these years? Let's see:

They did that by hitting "Reply" on a cross posters' message. I would hit
Reply to Group, then remove alt.support.impotence. Then load the message
with about half a meg of complaint. If they hit Reply to Group, we're left
off. One can assume some there are responsible posters that wish to comply.
And as I've noticed in the last few days, fewer and fewer cross posts. It's
worked for me, in the group, for over a decade now.

If you have a better idea, please give it to us.

I tend to agree with Jerry in this issue. SPAM and cross posting can't
be deleted by Jerry who started this newsgoup many years ago. Both
have been a problem since I joined up in the 90s. Complaining to
Google gets you nowhere, nor did it before Google took over.

No newsgroup appreciates these abuses. It helps a bit to totally
ignore abusive posts (don't feed the troll), However, the abuser is
getting his jollies from so many other newsgroups also attacked that he
doesn't give a hoot if nobody replies from this one.

Better, as they say, to light one small candle than to live in
darkness. Jerry's doing what he can. If he is violating a Cox.net
AUP, this may be because Cox.net does nothing itself to stop these
abuses on its own system.

Fight fire with fire?

Though Jerry may have started the group, that doesn't give him Usenet
god status allowing him to violate posting guidelines, rules and
netiquette. If you don't like the cross-posting then learn how to use
filters. Engaging in a contest to see who can disrupt newsgroups more
effectively (debilitatingly) is not a very mature response and is one
that is likely to backfire badly.

Hang on Jim, the abuse that is coming from Cox's network is being
perpetrated by Jerry. What Jerry is doing is a clear violation of
their AUP. He can have his account cancelled for what he's doing. Cox
is actually a good netizen and they do react to abuse coming from
their network.

I think that the original cross-posting was being done by the person
who goes by the name of "Moishe Lipschitz." If that is indeed the case
then complain to verizon: abuse@verizon.net who is also good at
enforcing their AUP. I'm not sure if he was the instigator because I
just filter it all out. What's more, I'm not sure that what Moishe
Lipschitz is doing violates anybody's AUP! Seriously. Here's their
AUP:

<http://www2.verizon.net/policies/acceptable_use.asp>

What section is he violating?

I will give Jerry one thing: for a guy in an impotence news group,
he's got balls. He appears to be posting from a static IP. He's
basically painted a large target on himself. Fortunately for Jerry, I
don't think that this rabble is into DOS attacks, they seem to be just
a handful of comical trolls.

Hey guys, no need to perpetuate the bitching or fire fights. Do
something constructive:

1. While, at first I applauded Jerry's broadside tactics, I tend agree
with George: If you want to get even: Trace the posts back to the
specific ISP, file an abuse report and then forget it. (Open the
message header, get the posting IP address, enter it in something like
<<
http://spamid.servebeer.com:8081/sp...id=BBEFGJLGELLO
not do much but, if the troll was also doing other, more ugly stuff, he
or she might have to go shopping for a new ISP or get bailed out of the
graybar hotel. Someone with an obsessive agenda about foreskins
probably has other hooks and handles as well. (Remember that this is an
explicit, sexually related newsgroup and we are lurked by a lot of
kooks, members of the 'thought police' and law enforcement.) Trust that
Lipschitz, whoever he or she may be, is already on someone's radar scope.

2. Whatever newsreader you are using, exploit it's filters and blockers
to the max. Peace might be just a mouse-click away!

3. If things are still intolerable, spend $ 30 bucks and buy a
commercial reader that will not download crossposts. Or, switch to
Mac-OS or Linux and select a reader that has these features.

Doing something like barraging Lipschitz's computer is a 'destructive'
act that is a violation of almost any AUP. This falls into the Denial
of Service (DoS) category of bad stuff.

The alternative is moving to a 'moderated' format. This saddles someone
like Jerry and a couple of helpers with the task of screening all posts
before they enter the public forum. Aside from latency, there's the
issue of it being labor intensive and a busy task for the moderators.
Not good.

Hang loose everyone, smile & cope! Trolls have a half life of about 6
months and they move on. Unfortunately, they are like sharks teeth, when
they go away, there's another waiting right behind the first one. :-)

Disrupt? Where do you see any disruption? Circumcision belongs in a group
like asi

Dr. Lipschitz, in addition to being a medical doctor also has a degree in
law and can assure you that he never engages in any unlawful behaviour like
threatening to disrupt groups with a Zillion posts like this Jerry fellah.

Other possibilities are that he's just stupid or is severely deficient in
testosterone and is acting like a hysterical cunt :o)

Really? For expressing an opinion? It's the circumcisers who have the
obsession. On a radar scope? hahaha If that doesn't sum up how pussy
whipped Americans are, I don't know what does. Ooooo I better not say
anything someone doesn't like cos they may come to get me lol And since
your leaders have made sure that there are a billion laws which means that
anyone of you may be breaking the law at any time you're pretty much
politically correct robots. In fact, most of you are so brainwashed that you
can't even remember what is normal.
