| I want to take a moment and thank everybody that has been involved
with this group. It has changed my life.
I won't mention names, for as soon as I do I'll forget someone and
then my forgetfulness will live in the Usenet archives forever. And
that would bother me.
I found ASI years ago when I was trying to sort out what was going
wrong with my body -- at the time I thought my problem was simply lack
of libido.
My primary care physician wanted to pursue a certain treatment path
that didn't seem to be working for me.
I did some Googling and found ASI. I did a lot of reading and did some
question asking. Reading the experiences of others gave me a better
understanding of what was going on and a realization that whatever
problem I had could likely be corrected.
The thing that sticks in my mind the most is the way that I felt --
sort of 'blah' about life (or lacking a 'lust for life') -- was
mentioned by others. Before I read that I'm not even sure I'd given
what I was feeling a name or description.
There were times I felt that everything about life was a chore. I knew
I'd turned the corner when I was standing outside one night, and
enjoyed being outside ... for no particular reason.
By reading ASI I found the info I needed to ask my doc for the blood
tests that would reveal my prolactin/testosterone problem. I had to
convince my PCP to run the tests ... he did ... he referred me to an
endo. When I gave those tests to the endo he told me my PCP had done a
fine job when he'd had those tests run. I'll have to admit guys (and
gals) that I kept my mouth shut and didn't mention that I'd asked for
the tests based on info I'd gotten here. (It didn't seem prudent at
that juncture.)
My PCP may have eventually thrown in the towel and run the needed
tests on his own. I like to think so. And I don't fault him for his
methods.
Finding ASI certainly sped things up. Who knows where my treatment
would currently be without it?
The information shared here is incredible. The 'support group' aspect
of ASI is good to have access to.
I wish I could buy you all a beer.
Thanks again to everyone.

| I thank you for taking the time to say that. That'd probably be a lot
of beers since so many here get their issues resolved and even then
stick around to help others out.

I second that, Jim. Each one of us is a pillar in a very, very large
structure.
These guys are great to hang around and share with others as they're needed.
