ED & Shrinking Genitals

| I had a vasectomy when I was about 30 & for 20 years it was great.
Sex was better & never a problem.
But about 5 years ago I started having ED & things gradually eroded.
Now my genitals have shrunk to less than half their size & are useless.
I tried HCG , no help & I think it even made them shrink more.
T cypionate for the ED, no help.
I'm in pretty good health other than that.
I have extremely low T & low LH, estrogen is O.K.
The doctor said all my other blood work is normal.
For the last 5 years its been depressing.
I've given up on the doctors, they just cost a lot of money & haven't
helped.
What's even worse is my insurance doesn't cover hypogonadism so a
hormone blood test costs about $800.00 every time.
Whether or not the vasectomy has anything to do with my problem I'll
probably never know but at this point I'm at a loss at where to go.
I welcome any ideas from anyone especially those who know what it feels
like.

First of all, I've never heard of a vasectomy causing genital shrinkage, much
less 20 years after the fact. On the other hand, if your genitals aren't
getting much of a workout, they are likely to atrophy like any other unused
body part.
I'd be curious to know more about your T-cypionate regimen. How much were you
taking, and how often? How was it administered? How long did you try it?
For some men with low T and ED, the answer isn't TRT alone, but TRT in
combination with Cialis (or Viagra). Have you tried that? TRT tends to
restore the libido and energy levels, Cialis helps with actual erectile
capacity.
Also, what diagnosis have you received concerning your ED? Have you had the
tests for venous leakage? Do you currently take any meds? Are you a heavy
coffee drinker? Do you smoke?
If you can post the results of your last blood work, there may be further
clues in those numbers.

I don't remember my regimen but it was similar to some of what I read on this
group a few years ago.
Here are some of my test results.
Free T Direct 10.6 pg/mL - normal range: 7.6 - 24.0
T – Serum 233 L ng/dL –normal range: 241 - 827
Estradiol < 15 pg/mL - normal range : 0-54
After 2 months on Androderm patch
Free T 8.0
T - 116 L ng/dL
3 weeks later off of TRT
LH 2.2 - normal range : 1.5 – 9.3
Prolactin 5.7 - normal range : 2.1 – 17.7
SHBG 17 - normal range : 10 – 71
No T- workup that I could find
3 – 4 weeks into HCG - 500 iu’s 3 times a week
Free T – 8.5
T serum – 239
E2 - 33
None of these therapies helped at all.
I gave up HCG after about 6 months & then tried T cypionate for a while & it
didn’t help either.
I can’t remember the doseage but I never felt any different no matter how much I
took.

Nothing seemed to restore my libido.
Viagra did work a little at first but eventually not at all.

I never had any tests for venous leakage.
I don't take any meds at all, don't drink coffee or smoke & am in pretty good
health for 56.
I do have a pot belly but not much overweight at all.
I know it sounds strange that I think my vasectomy has something to do with this
but nothing makes sense to me.
If it was just ED I probably wouldn't think so, but this shrinking makes me think
there's something more going on.
I know the testicles atrophy from TRT but mine stayed small & maybe even smaller
on HCG.
Low LH & TRT always computes to secondary hypogonadism but I don't think so in my
case.
I'm open for any suggestions but I've run out of money to give to the medical
profession for no results or answers.
