| I have been looking into the dopamine agonist, Dostinex (cabergoline).
It has shown some promise in treating Parkinson's, but has the additional
benefit of lowering serum prolactin--in other words, reducing the refractory
time between orgasms.
Some of the anectodal reports I have read talk about increasing libido (mine
needs no help) and enabling a man to have more orgasms in a shorter time.
In reading (mostly lurking) this newsgroup, I see a number of guys complaining
about lack of libido, and I know there has been some discussion about Dostinex
here.
I have seen it advertised as a "sex drug" at ridiculous prices (naturally), but
also at more manageable prices at aurapharm.com.
Does anyone have anything new to report? Efficacy? Side effects?
Thx,
Parrot

I've used it in varying dosages. It did not reduce refractory time for me at
any dosage, though orgasms did seem more intense and long-lasting at higher
doses. It gave a mild lift to libido, but that's not your issue apparently.
It's a dopamine agonist, so it carries all the potential side effects of that
class of drugs, including increased blood pressure. I have an open script for
it but stopped taking it. It's unclear from your post what your expectations
are regarding Dostinex. What are you hoping it might accomplish for you?

I am currently taking C as "insurance." I take atenolol (beta blocker) and
hydrochlorothiazide (known ED effects) for mild hypertension. I have spoken to
my doctor about replacing the two meds I take now with Cozaar, whose effects are
reputed to be prosexual in addition to dealing with the BP issues.
My libido needs no help at all, but I am hoping to decrease my refractory time
and possibly to eliminate the need for the PDE5 inhibitor.
My lover is two decades younger than I am (I'm 60) and while she and I have no
problem keeping up with each other, I want to pack the most experience possible
into every encounter.
I am sorry if this sounds at all like bragging, but it is in fact a serious
question. Dostinex sounds to me like a different approach worth investigationg.
I have ordered a trial from Turkey. Hopefully that pharmacy is not a scam!
Thank you for the response.
