im new to this group and am looking for advice on
penile implants.
i have a spinal cord injury and nothing has worked.
i've read recently a lot on the procedure, so i'm
looking for personal advice. two vain things that
discourage me: the implant erection loses size
compared to your normal erection, and that the head
isnt impacted at all and looks flacid and odd. any
help is greatly aprreciated

I can't help with personal experience but here is a link to a site with some
pictures. It may answer some of your questions about what a post-surgical
penis looks like. Click on "enter" and then select "implants" at the top of
the page.

I have looked into this subject and found most people having implants
and posting to this group and others were very satisfied with the
penile implant. They particularly seem to recommend the "gold standard"
kind that are nearly undetectible. I suggest doing a search of this
group. You will see at the top of the page a search box. Start with one
word, implant. Then try penile. One or both will give you more
comments on penile implants. Incidently, my doctor turned me down for
one. He said it might get infected and does reduce size. Also, I still
have some sign of prostate cancer. Still, based on what else I have
available, I would try it if I felt the benefits would outweigh the
risks.
