Libido has at least two components: physiological and psychological. I
agree that the PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra and Cialis have no effect on the
physiological aspects of libido. However, I do think that when men know
that they can have reliable erections that a large burden has been lifted
and one psychological inhibition of libido has been lifted. Therefore, men
who don't have ED issues but are afflicted with low desire, will not benefit
from drugs like Cialis. In other words, ED drugs don't directly improve
desire, they simple remove an obstacle.
