Author Q: marijuana as ED treatment

Hi,
I am a 42 year old married male. Fortunately for my wife and I, I have
not suffered from ED. However, I have noticed that with age my
erections are less spontaneous, less firm and that overall sex is less
intense for me. However, this changed dramatically for me recently.
As a teenager and well into my twenties I was essentially a daily pot
smoker. After beginning a serious career, settling down and having a
family, all of my connections to marijuana were severed and I did not
smoke it for about 15 years (with the exception of a few rare events).
However, last summer I acquired a few grams of very high quality pot.
It is the type grown indoors in british columbia and referred to as BC
bud. I have smoked this pot perhaps 6 times in the last couple of
months. The impact on my sex life was astonishing to me. I don't
really enjoy the pot high that much and each time I indulged I took
only one or two hits, that's all but effective nonetheless. I
accompanied this with a glass of wine or a beer. The results were that
I had these incredible sexual encounters with my wife. I had erections
that were better than any I'd experienced in years and I had incredible
staying power. I was able to develop an intense erection from simple
kissing and touching and the erection was persistent. Usually, I need
some sort of direct stimulation to get hard and the erection will wane
if left alone. Needless to say my sex life is incredibly more
satisfying than it has been in a long time. The difference was enough
to prompt me to make this posting.
I am curious to hear from any others who have had a similar or
disimilar experience. I would like to know if my own experience is
anomalous or common. My strategy until now is to take one or two hits
on a Saturday evening several hours before bed time, since saturdays
are likely times for my wife and I to have sex. I should also mention
that the sexual effects do persist even after the high has worn off. A
quick search of the news groups did not reveal any similar postings.
