Problems in attaining and maintaining natural erection.

| Hi,
I am unable to get a natural erection since a long time. Since I was
not in a relationship with any girl before I did not bother much about
it as I could stimulate my penis to erection and could masturbate. But,
since last few months I have been in Love with a girl, and recently I
was in an intimate situation with her where we both became naked and
carassed each other. But to my surprise even then I did not get an
erection. Only thing was a secretion of a clear liquid from my penis.
When I stimulate my penis with hand it gets erect but as soon as I stop
the stimulation it loses the erection again. While masturbating I have
tried tying a thread at the bottom of my penis by doing that the
erection is maintained but I find it difficult to ejaculate. Please
help as to how I should go about tacking this issue.
Regards,
kamita

| There can be a lot of reasons for impotence, so I think you need to see a
doctor to find out why you are having problems. You may also want to try
the Viagra/Levitra/Cialis route. Expensive, but it works for a lot of men.
I would not experiment with tying the base of the penis. If you need to go
that route get a Rejoyn or Osbon vacuum assist device. They have rings that
do the job and can be used safely if the instructions are followed.
The clear fluid if probably from the Cowper's gland. It is called precum.
I have read that it is natures way to clean the urethra before ejaculation
to protect the sperm from damage that the urine may cause. Just a theory.
Good luck to you. By the way. If it is Love, she will stick with you
erection or no erection.

Did you start taking any kind of medicine? Do you have morning erections? Do
you drink anything with caffeine in it?

| It sounsds as if one of your problems is with venous leakage. Cock
rings (a.k.a. contriction bands or rings) are very helpful. You can buy
them at many drug stores such as Rite Aid or on the internet for a
package containing different sizes. ReJoyn is a popular one. Or do a
search on ReJoyn. Stay Erect is another source:
http://www.stayerect.com/page4.html
You might also want to try some of the ED drugs such as Cialis and
Viagra or a combo of drugs and constriction bands.

| Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your response I am not on any kind of medicine. I do get
morning erections but they go away as soon as I urinate.

I don't need any help with gaining an erection but maintaining one through
full intercourse is my problem. Will Rejoyn or Osbon be of any use to me? I
must say I've used cock rings in the past and they did not help when it
started to go limp.

| No, the pumps, as prescribed by physicians anyway, are for men who cannot
attain an erection. The erection is maintained when the soft plastic ring
is pulled off the pump on to the base of the penis. This is the same
principal as the cock ring, but this is a soft rubbery material that cuts
off the blood flow. Once that is on the penis the pump is removed and you
are ready for business. The maximum time recommended to stay erect in this
way is 30 minutes. My doctor told me that the pressure inside the penis is
less than in the body so there is still blood circulation when the clamp is
on. The rings come in various sizes and you have to experiement to see
which will work for you. The Rejoyn pump came with four rings labeled A, B,
C, and D. The A was the largest. I need the C size to maintain an erection
with the pump removed. My impotence problems started several years ago but
back then Viagra worked for me. However, after prostate surgery i have been
totally impotent.
Good luck to you.
