| I bought some Cialis over the internet and it has no expiration date.
What should I do? I got them about a year ago.

I would continue to use them as long as they do the job. If they are stored
in a cool, dark, dry place they should be fine. The FDA requires an
expiration date on drugs and other materials used in medicine and dentistry.
You can generally use the product well beyond the expiration date if it is
stored properly. Of course, there are some "critical mission" drugs that
would cause serious problems is they were not fully active, such as birth
control pills or antibiotics. I believe that a few drugs can deteriorate
and become harmful. I'm not aware of this happening with any of the ED
drugs. I think the worst that could happen is nothing. However, if it
would make you feel better, you can send them to me.

Very funny. Anyhow, if you can NOT find an expiry date, look for a "lot" number, such as
A031410. That's similar to a serial number although I think all the pills in the same
batch that yours came from would have the same "lot" number. Look for any itty bitty
numbers, even if it doesn't say what it means, and give Eli Lilly or Lilly ICOS a call.
The phone number should also be on the package somewhere. You can explain that you don't
know the expiry date. If you offer up the "lot" number then they should be able to give
you the information.
Of course, if you aren't using "real" Cialis, then they won't help you. Probably won't
even try. I found nothing authoritative, however, one place I looked claimed that Cialis
will last for two years. Oh wait a minute. New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices
Safety Authority, a branch of the New Zealand Ministry of Health. They say it too. There
you go. It lasts two years.
