Anyone ever by accident take twice the dose of v 200mg instead of 100?

Was wondering if that is dangerous or did it cause something uncomfortable.

Thanks,
ArA

I got in a spot last March when I wanted to extend for an extra couple
of hours and took two extra 50mg doses totaling out at 200 mg. Good
news was that it worked, bad news was a helluva hangover feeling the
following day.

Realized that I was non-compliant and had a chalk-talk with my Uro. He
wasn't concerned about my dosing at that level. Remember that if you've
got E.D. you've probably got other medical issues as well and your doc
is the best one to judge just how much drug abuse you can tolerate.

You must remember that doses are manufacturer recommended doses and like
other drugs there are people who must take higher doses. Viagra comes in
25,50 and 100mg which means that while some people can take the 25, there
are people who need 100 which is 4x as much. Physicians may legally
prescribe any drug in any dose for any condition even if it's not a
condition recommended by the manufacturer of the drug(off label) For
example, a physician may prescribe Viagra for depression if he thought it
would work and in fact almost any drug you can think of has been used for
depression including narcotics. However, insurance companies will generally
only pay if the drug is prescribed for a recommended condition.

Yes, twice.

Once by intent when I was first testing the medication to find the
optimum dose. I found the benefits rose as the dose increased, but at
200 mg the effect lessened, apparently due to blood pressure drop, and
the side effects increased.

The second time was when I was using 50 mg Caverta (from ShopRXonline
now called Supersavermeds, whom I'll never trust again) and taking two
tablets at a time. I was about to run out and had purchased some Viagra
100mg from Walgreens to tide me over. One AM I woke up early and
thought I'd give my wife some wake up service at her usual get up time.
From habit, I took two pills in the dark. I wondered why they did
not work as well as usual. It was not until the next day and I had the
huge hangeover, that I realized what I had done.

For the record, during Viagra's FDA approval testing, dosages were
administered up to 800 mg. I bet those produced some hefty hangovers!
