I've had problems with getting it up for 3 years. I'm 19 years old.

The first time i tried to have sex, i could'nt get it up because of
performance anxiety. I've had that problem since, and still have it
even though i've been in 2 different long-term relationships.

When i have just 4-5 beers, it gets even harder to get it up, and
nothing seems to arouse me.

On a good day, i can get a good erection, but right when i'm about to
get on top of my girlfriend, it usually shrinks. Actually, my erections
doesn't seem to last very long.

I'm a smoker, and when i stopped smoking for a month (I started again),
i had better erections, but they still did'nt last.

I hope you have some ideas or questions!

Hi,

You should be having trouble keeping it down.

I can remember being embarrassed to tears giving a speech with an
uncontrollable woody that wouldn't go away.

As you are probably living with your parents or still have medical coverage
there, get to an endocrinologist and have your levels of hormone checked to
begin with. Your problem could be complex and require a very skilled
professional. Your whole love life is ahead of you and you only have one
opportunity to get this some attention, now.

Give up shopping on the internet and get to the doctor.

It sounds to me like you may need help from a mental health therapist. 4-5
beers is a LOT of beer, and I get the impression from your post that you are
inwardly troubled or anxious, and possibly drinking to deal with that. Binge
drinking won't help your problems, and smoking will certainly make them
worse. I doubt that there is anything physically wrong with you, but it
sounds like you need therapy to help resolve your anxieties, and to get you
off alcohol and cigarettes (and whatever other mood-improvers you may be
self-medicating with). See your family doctor and tell him or her honestly
about your problems, including your drinking and smoking. I am sure your
doctor will be able to provide guidance in finding the right health
professional to deal with your issues.

Try not drinking and see what happens. Some people are more sensitive to the
depressant effect of alcohol. But you said 3 years. Were you drinking since
16?

That amount of alcohol and smoking is unlikely to cause ED at your age.

That still wouldn't matter at 19.

"Therapy" is a lot of nonsense and is less successful statistically then a
person just quitting on their own.

(and whatever other mood-improvers you may be

Perhaps he hasn't mentioned everything.

We all want to believe that but in many cases nothing can be done. As you
know, about 10% of females will NEVER have an orgasm by any means and only
about 1/3 usually orgasm from intercourse. There is nothing physically or
mentally wrong with them, it's just their nature. Many men who claim to have
problems at a young age probably fall into the category of simply having no
desire and no erection or they can have an erection but don't enjoy sex. And
there is nothing physically or mentally wrong with them.
