Author Decline in libido, size, and erectile hardness.

Greetings, I am a 46 YO Type II diabetic currently using Viagra and,
occasionally, Levitra. I'm currently in fairly good physical shape, at
a decent weight plateau and doing treadmill work 5 days a week, with
cholesterol and triglycerides declining as of last medical checkup.

I'm having several key problems in addition to ED itself:

(1) My penis is substantially smaller than it was when I was younger,
in both an erectile and limp state. My testicles seem to have no
problems with size changes, but the penis itself has shrunk perhaps as
much as 40% in size. (The normal testicles may be due to the fact that
my testosterone levels have clocked in as normal in repeated blood
tests.)

(2) The ED itself is getting more difficult to manage with Viagra and
other medications. (I have already given up on Cialis--a very nice drug
that worked beautifully for me a few times about a year ago...but
nowadays doesn't produce much effect.) There seems to be no
reliability, rhyme or reason to Viagra at times. Some days 25 mg will
be adequate, other days 50 mg does nothing at all. Most of my erections
now are partial, and more tumescent than rigid. I don't know what's
causing this. Increasing the dosage of Viagra only seems to increase
the irritating skin flushing side effects; its ability to increase
performance is a wild card every time I use it.

(3) The viagra also seems to be least effective when I have gone the
prescribed 3-4 hours without eating. The last two mediocre but
marginally adequate sexual experiences I had with Viagra occurred after
I had taken the drug and followed it up with food. There may be
diabetic glucose issues at work here--does anyone have any opinions on
this?

(4) My penis seems to be losing physical sensitivity, which is one
reason--I am guessing--that I have increasing problems reaching an
erection, let alone a good, hard one.

(5) I've noticed before in the past that I get my best erectile
response from Viagra after drinking a few beers on an empty stomach. I
have no idea why. I generally am not a frequent beer drinker; this is
just the result of experimentation.

I wish to be able to get my sexual life under control with a minimum of
medications--I am not ready, IMHO, to go on Trimix just yet. One worry
I have is that since ED medications seem to be losing strength rapidly
with me over time, the same thing might happen to me if I went on
injections.

I am open to suggestions involving herbal remedies in addition to the
ED medications...for example I have tried Yohimbe with no effect
before, but Maca with some mild effects. I generally will take zinc
supplements and some garlic, as well as arginine and glutamine.
(Although I've found, for some reason, that arginine seems to
exacerbate my problems lately, and I have actually stopped taking it.)

I'm open to at least considering getting as Osbon Erecaid if it will
seriously help my problem.

Any and all helpful advice/theories would be appreciated.

Hi Ephraim,

Do some research into cleansing. There is a saying "you are what you eat",
in reality its "you are what you absorb"

Since you have type 2 diabetes, I would concentrate on getting that in
control. Take a decent multi-vitamin and an omega3 supplement (That combo
alone should reduce your cholesterol greatly with the amount of exercise you
are doing)

My guess is that your diabetes is causing issues with your arteries,
therefore reducing the effect of drugs you are taking. (This is common with
diabetics)

My father has diabetes and I used many points from this article with
excellent results. (it outlines an excellent plan on getting things back to
balance)

http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articl...sDeception.html

If you are using maca, ensure that you are using "gelatinized" version. That
is easier to digest and more potent. Don't use pills (too small a dosage,
unless you take a lot). Take the powder form and make a shake using water or
ricemilk. (I blend it with banana and blueberries for an afterworkout shake)

I had similar issues with arginine. I researched that you should take it
with carbs. ( I never took it on its own, I usually mixed it in with a
shake)

Good luck

AG

By cleansing you mean the recent health products that clean out the
lower intestine more thoroughly?

Thanks for the advice. I don't take shakes, only pills; maybe I should
try them.

Hi Ephraim,

Yes. There are numerous products that are for cleansing and/or
detoxification.

I would start with a general overall cleanse, then go into specific organ
cleanses.

I started with a product called BotanaCleanse from a company called
Symmetry. I recommend these products highly. (I'm biased since I'm a member)

www.symmetrydirect.com/takebackyourhealth

With a restricted diet during the duration of the cleanse, I lost about 15
lbs in about two weeks. (I wasn't even overweight)

Check this website out as well...

http://www.cleanse.net/newsite/index.html

This site is about cleansing. I find this a little hardcore since you have
to do some serious fasting, (no pain, no gain, I guess) but the information
is very educational. I used some of his ideas putting my own program
together. I know people who have done this with excellent results, however I
don't think the average person could do this right off the bat.

Don't forget to investigate to decent water filters, I'm sorting out scores
of articles, about drugs in our tap water and pesticides, etc. It's scary
what's going on. Get a shower filter at the bare minimum.

I find the filters from this company is quite decent...

Good Luck
