Hi,

I'm quite positive I have psychological impotence due to performace
anxiety. My reasons for believing this are:

1. During foreplay I am turned on with an erection. Once it gets to the
sex part and I have to put on a condom, I loose my erection very
quickly. I can feel the desire going out of me as the anxiety
increases.

2. I have visited three prostitutes in the past and had no trouble at
all with my erection. If anything, the experience was the opposite and
I had no control over a relatively quick orgrasm. In this case, I had
no fear about my performace since I wasn't interested in pleasing her.

So, what now? Do I go straight to a psychologist? Or do I see a
urologist first? I have just ordered some generic viagra and am hoping
that this helps.

Thoughts? Recommendations? (And, just to note lest this this go off
topic, I am not visiting or planning on visiting any more prostitutes.)

You should probably consult a doctor before using Viagra, but I'd say it
will help - just don't stress about using it or let it make you become
less relaxed. Make sure you don't eat anything for 3+ hours before
taking it!

You don't mention how many times this has happened, if it has been
happening all your life, during masturbation etc??

Generally if you become comfortable with a sexual partner, perhaps admit
to them that you are nervous and that you are affected by that, before
too long the problem goes away.
