| I have read conflicting things online about the use of injectables over
time: some have said that their usage stays stable for years, while
others require more and more. Is this simply based upon the way one
individual's body ages (i.e, as diabetes gets worse, for instance), or
is there indeed a trend towards higher dosages over time?
I am meeting with my urologist in a week to try out trimix because
Viagra no longer works quite as well as it used to, and the other two
don't do much for me at all. This has been happening despite my
diabetes being under control by all available measures. I'm concerned
that if I start trimix, I may find that a few years down the road that
no longer works either and I have no other alternatives left save
implants...
Any personal experience from current or former patients would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

What are your alternatives now? The way I look at it, you have an answer now
to something you need now. Let the future worry about itself.

| Hi,
Diabetes kills nerves vital for the erection process.
Trimix stimulates the smooth muscles that control blood flow to the penis
and should not require more to get the same effect. I've been using trimix
for more than 10 years and the sensitivity to the mixture has not changed
significantly at age 73. I do not understand the reason anyone would need
more over time for the same effect.
It is independent of your nerve conditions. Whatever is happening to them is
not related to trimix and you can go back and try viagra anytime. It doesn't
keep you from returning to anyother form of therapy. As long as it works, I
would not expect you will ever need an implant.
Ask your doctor as he should know all about long term use.

| Well, I had my first trimix injection yesterday from my urologist, and
all I can say is WOW!
I didn't quite understand how guys could say that you could pound nails
with it, but now I do. If it works like that every time, I'm really
gonna like this stuff....
Thanks for the advice from all who replied.

| That's terrific, Dan. You will probably get even better duration results at
home in a relaxed environment.
How long did the office erection last and did he instruct you about dosage
shifting?

In the office my urologist injected .2 cc, which caused about a 2 1/2 hr
erection (2 hours good and hard, 1/2 hour slowly slipping away). My
urologist happens to be a woman, btw, not a man. Which was a surprise
to me the first time I went to the office, but now it's no big deal.
I am not sure what you mean by dosage shifting.
I intend to reduce the dosage a little each time and watch what happens.
I got my prescription via fedex two days ago and tried reducing the
dosage more in line with dosages I had read about here. I injected .12
ccs and got very little response which was gone inside of 30 minutes or
so. This morning I went back to .20 cc and had an erection for about 3
hours. So next time I figure I'll try .18 or .16 and see what that does.

You'll find the same dosage will cause different reactions, depending on
time since last erection, coffee intake, exercise, time of day and all the
other variables of life. Once you get a general response you like, you will
learn to make dose variations from there, factoring in if you want a quickie
or a longer session.
Good luck

| Dan, that is a very healthy first dose. Try dropping the dosage by _0.01_
cc each time to see where you get. I started at 0.05 cc, just to give you a
comparison. You started at 0.2 cc, much more. 0.08 cc gives me three
hours or close to it. We are all different, of course and my mix may be
different from yours, too.

Yes, it is a healthy dose. That's why I tried .12 cc at home. .12
didn't do much for me at all - perhaps 50-60% for 25 or 30 minutes.
My mix is 10/1/30, which is pretty standard as far as I can tell.

Jim,
After thinking about your post, I decided to try a different approach.
Knowing that .12cc caused a slight response but not enough, I decided to
work up from there rather than down from .20cc. I was amazed to
discover that .13cc seems to be perfect for me. I had about a 2 hour
erection from it, whereas .14cc lasted about 3 hours. I was surprised
to find such dosage sensitivity, where .01cc makes the difference
between not much response and great response.
Anyway, thanks for your input.

| Hi,
It is very easy to have an unreliable injection when you inject into a
flacid penis bent over your thigh.
Tease the penis to get some blood in the penis and squeeze it toward the end
and hold tight while you inject in the side of the penis and bury the needle
to you get all the way through the lining of the cavity. Dump the
ingredients and in 10 min or less, WOW.
