Apparently that's how they classify this stuff. It's called Andriol and the doctor just
prescribed it. I started taking it yesterday. The doctor said the reason for my impotence
was an abnormally low testosterone count, so I have to take these testosterone pills, he
believes, for the rest of my life. He said it's not going to get any better. Of course
if it helps my sexual functioning, I'll have to agree with him by saying "It sure doesn't
get any better than this!" We shall see.

Sean,

I don't recognize 'Ugly,' which isn't to say you haven't posted using
that 1000 times ...but --

Are you Sean D. as well? If not, I thought I'd stick my nose in and
ask if your doctor did any blood work before giving you Andriol. My
doc was a little quick with Androgel, when my problem was elsewhere.

Of course, if you are Sean D., congratulations on making headway. And
thanks for keeping us posted.

I have -- but not here. My diagnosis is quite new and I have so many mixed feelings about
it. So I had only started on my testosterone pills ... two weeks ago? That's about right.
And it was a week before that where the doctor's office called with the news of having a
low testosterone count. I had hoped it would have been something simple like prescribing
Viagra or equivalent, but no dice.

>Are you Sean D. as well?

Fascinating. Indeed, my middle initial is D., but I don't usually sign that way.

You'd have to give me this reference as to where this "Sean D." was from so I'll know if
it's me or not. Yes, the doctor did a blood test. I first went to him with problems
pertaining to ED and he acknowledged it could be many things and requested a blood test. I
hate blood tests, but this was important to me. I got it performed as quickly as I could.
It also didn't take long to get the results that I mentioned above. But it took so long
to begin with, since my wife didn't want me to go through with it. She feared that if I
was put on one of those Viagra/Levitra/Cialis etc. pills that it wouldn't be "her" that
was arousing me, but the pills. I hear that this is not the case, but the thought
bothered her. Finally I could take it no longer and said that I had to get it checked
out. It's far less than ideal though. I hope that will change.

This url should take you to the Sean D post I was referring to:

As for arousal with Cialis ... I can vouch for the fact that it
doesn't cause arousal -- my T was low and my prolactin high. I tried
Viagra to help things along. My libido was so low I can't say it
really helped.

Good luck.

Keep us posted.

Thanks. That helps. The answer is NO. I'm not him.

From what I was learning I thought none of them "cause" arousal, that has to come from
you. But when you do get aroused, your penis will respond.

If this is not the case then someone please correct me. Regardless, this is discouraging.
I hope my doc will get back to me from that letter I left him.

You are correct -- based on what I've read and my experience.
