| Hello to all in the group - I am writing for your
help/input/inspiration...
Ok, here's the story-
I'm 28, I'm in very good health (I dont drink or smoke, I workout
moderately 5 days a week, my bodyfat is 11% and I'm 13 stone exactly),
my diet is good (chicken, fish, nuts, seeds, soya milk, fruits,
vegetables, cottage cheese, whey protien shakes, lots of water and
herbal teas, no milk/sugary/sweet stuff). My diet has been like this
for around 10 years.
I am not on any medications whatsoever and do not feel depressed or
tired.
Until about 5 months ago I would wake up almost everyday with an
erection of some sort in the morning and sometimes wake in the night
with them. I would also be erect/semi-erect several times in the day
when thinking sexy thoughts. I would be very erect when with a woman
and would get erect usually simply by kissing a woman or even
sometimes just by looking at one that I found attractive. My erections
were very hard and felt 'strong'.
Over the last 5 months I have not woken up with one single erection. I
find that I do not have any erections at all throughout the day, even
when fantasising (which I still do!). I have found I can get an
erection when with a woman, but they are not as strong, do not come
about as quickly as they used to and I seem to struggle to get one in
certain positions (especially when I am stood up). I find I can get an
erection if I masturbate, but again they are not as strong as before
(about 80% as strong), and again they are weak when I am standing.
I do not know why this is happening to me - I still feel the same
desire for sex, I have not had any 'bad moments' sexually, I am not
stressed/depressed nor do I feel ill or tired ever.
I have tried some generic viagra (called kamagra) - I took a 50 mg
dose the 1st time and it nearly blew my head off. I was rock hard
(harder even than when I was in my teens), but I felt overwhelmed and
very 'hyper', I also ejaculated very fast (which is unlike me most
times) and had a ridiculously bad headache the following day.
Since then I havce tried 12.5 mg doses and they have worked very well
- very hard erections but without the other unwanted feelings.
I did not on the times (around 6 now) that i've tried the drug, get
any nighttime/morning erections.
It would seem from my experiment, that my body is no longer making the
chemical needed for erection as well as before - I am stumped as to
why this would be the case though as I am only 28 and in good
condition.
Does anyone have any idea? any input? any hep re this issue? it is
really worrying me now!
What can I do to return to normal?
thank you to all in the group

| Hi,
Not a medical type but have been reading on this and other sites about the
subject.
Nocturnal erections are a normal way for the body to keep the penis in good
condition and is a separate set of nerves that causes the erection as I
understand it. That's why it usually fades quickly when we wake up. You can
sometimes take advantage of them by encouraging you partner to get in the
mood.
Nerves gradually get less efficient or age or are damaged over time by
several thing including various medications like anti depression pills,
anxiety pills. some blood pressure pills and I think even the cholesterol
medications (statins). Stress can take a toll which comes at us from all
directions even from the work, wife and kids. Worry about almost anything
and it will be burden that hits you there maybe. Watchout for the herbs and
natural remedies.
Diabetes testing is simple and needs to be cleared away as a cause as this
can sneak up on you and this might be the first clue which you normally
would ignore.
I would take this to your normal doctor or GP and when he finishes, take it
to the urologist.
Doesn't sound like you have hormone problems but along the way you might
want to check for one that I hear can stop erections. It is a high E2 which
is a form of estrogen that can be high in some men and needs to be treated.
This is a job for an endocrinolgist if you can find one and finding a good
one is a real challenge. Almost none treat men for andropuse and that needs
to be fixed when I get to be King.
Hope this gives you some ideas of the causes.
