Not necessarily. But you have to choose your surgeon carefully, picking one
who has a lot of these venous repairs under his belt, and successful ones.
Accomplished surgeons now claim about 80 percent success, this based on
patient feedback.

First, get the tests and find out exactly what is going on. Then make a
decision. If the leakage is very severe, consider the surgery. If it is
not very severe, something like regular vacuum pumping could get you back on
track over time. Meanwhile, try a cockring and one of the PDE5 drugs like
Viagra or Cialis.

My uro, a wise doctor and whom I hear is a good surgeon, said that now it
would be a waste of time and money to repair my venous leakage surgically,
my arterial flow having been improved enough to overcome it. But I had to
work a long time at pumping to get that to happen.
